Highly recommend iron
Excellent iron Heats up quickly and minimal water drip Once it heats up completely then no leaking . It’s pretty too black and rose gold The medium weight helps with getting wrinkles out quicker. Definitely recommend.

Good purchase
Good iron, I love the retractable cord. It heats up fast and the steam burst works great. Can also spray a mist which works great as well. Love he auto shut off too.

Powerful Performance with Convenient Design
The Rowenta Access Stainless Steel Soleplate Steam Iron offers excellent performance with smooth glide, strong steam output, and a convenient retractable cord, making it ideal for everyday ironing. But noticed some water leakage and inconsistent heat. Overall, it's a solid mid-range option for those seeking efficiency and comfort, especially on cotton and linen fabrics.

. . . . Just Don't Understand. . . .
So, here's the thing: back in 2010, we purchased a Rowenta Iron at Macy's. After what I experienced last night, I had to go and find out exactly which model I'd purchased. It was the Rowenta Focus, 1700W, with 400 steam holes and a Stainless Steel plate--the one that's shiny. It's heavier, gets hotter, and when you turn it on, the lights flicker in the house. This particular model (DW2459/62), I scouted for about 3 months. The only issue with the Rowenta Focus is that it occasionally leaked water. say, I am ironing, leave for longer than ten minutes, it turns shuts itself off, and will leak a little or, sometimes, more than a little, when I am heating it back up to temp. But, if you empty the water after each use, leaking is a non-issue. This model--the DW2459 (or 2161 or 2463) or whatever it actually is, because it didn't come up in the drop-down list on the registration website, but on the iron itself, it says DW2462--arrived yesterday or the day before. Last night, I decided to iron my clothes for work a little earlier than usual, and try out the new iron. The selling points for me was the retractable cord, 1725W, and the laser-plated stainless steel. After starching my jeans, and ironing for a bit (the iron had ample time to heat up, it just didn't feel that hot. Also, it was lighter in weight than the ten-year old Rowenta I have, it did not flicker the lights when it turned on, and it has less steam-holes than the ten-year old Rowenta Focus. The Rowenta Focus, at the time, cost upwards of $90. Here is my theory: I have learned that manufacturers of electronics will design & build a product. The premium version of that product goes out to the high-end stores. Whatever surplus parts/components they have ("scraps") they design models/versions or different products altogether, and send those out to the discount stores. I wonder if something of that nature captures something of the nature of what is going on here, with Rowenta. I initiated the return, last night, dropped this model (DW2462/59) back off at UPS, and cleaned up my old Rowenta. I have a new respect for that beast, now. Gratitude to Rowenta for not skimping on the quality of that iron. A little leakage is not a deal-breaker for me. These days, irons pale in comparison to what they used to be. It's unfortunate that they sacrifice quality to develop products that do not measure up to their own older line of products.

It doesn't get any better
I purchased the Rowenta DW2459 1725 watt Steam Iron black and brown. I’m an old geezer. I’ve done a little ironing in my time . I also own a steam press and a nice hand held steamer and used to have a stand alone pro steamer. I recently purchased a Van Husen “Wrinkle Free” shirt that has really been a challenge. After washing, it had a zillion wrinkles. My Steamer wouldn’t touch it. The shirt laughed at the Steam Press. I got out my old Sunbeam iron and it had given up the ghost. So after taking almost a whole day researching “pro” irons I settled on this Rowenta DW2459. It has all the same features of their top of the line models but this particular one is Made in France and still has the Shiny SS sole plate which many reviewers say they miss since the new top model Rowenta’s have a dull looking SS sole plate that does not glide over the fabric as easily. I’ve never used an iron this nice before. I knocked out that challenging wrinkled up shirt in no time. I was amazed at how easily the iron glides over the fabric. The steam output is even and just the right amount. So far I’ve not had to use the extra steam burst feature. The iron heats up really fast and the auto steam feature is perfect. On some irons after you sit them down to arrange your garment on the board there is a lag for the steam to catch up when you pick it up again. Not so with this Rowenta. It is bit heavier than most economical irons but for the most part that is a good thing since you don’t have to go over and over the same area. Once you sit it on the fabric it glides very easily over the fabric. It only takes one or two passes and the wrinkles are gone. It really speeds up your ironing time. It’s fairly easy to fill up with water and is made to use standard tap water. I hope this thing lasts because I’m very pleased with it. Now ironing is not as much of a chore as it used to be.

Best Iron I've Ever Had
Years ago I asked my mother, a wonderful 'sewist' and her mother (my grandmother) was a seamstress-turned-tailor, what kind of clothing iron I should get. She said Rowenta. I'd never heard of it but spent the money and will never buy another brand of iron again. A quarter century later, my older Rowenta is still working but I wanted an upgrade, so I bought this during a Prime sale. What a wonderful new iron! Very easy to use: just add water to the tank, turn the dial, and iron. The heat levels are more precise, and the features are about the same as my previous Rowenta. What I really love about this new iron is the taper-pointed tip - it gets into those smaller folds and spaces where regular irons tend to stay on top of and eliminates wrinkles more efficiently. When I opened the box I was surprised at the larger size but it actually weighs LESS than my former iron. Easy on my wrists and my arm doesn't get fatigued when ironing while sewing clothing (which takes a LOT of ironing). My photograph is of the first shirt I ironed - it took only a little over a minute to iron the entire shirt, collar and all. Great value for the money, especially when Prime season comes. Rowenta for the win!

Used item in a new box (Issue was resolved by seller immediately)
I was sent a used iron in a new package. The water tank had moisture in it (could be from testing at the factory) , the chrome accents were scratched and it looks like someone wiped down the base plate with a sponge because there is residue all over it. Also in the package there is a card that should be attached to the base plate for protection and it was just thrown in the box. If it was just the moisture in the tank I wouldn't think anything of it because of the water tested sticker on the tank but the other issues don't give me any confidence that I didn't just get a repackaged returned item. I could be wrong in my assumptions and it may just be a product of a lazy worker in the testing group but Id rather not take my chances on something that has the ability to grievously harm the user if damaged. Update: I have updated to 5 stars because it is a great product and the issue was resolved immediately. I was sent a replacement the next day which did not have any of the above mentioned issues other than moisture in the tank from testing which isn't an issue. The iron itself works great and I could safely recommend this product now.

Fantastic iron!
I use my iron for ironing and pressing so it NEEDS to be a little heavy. What a silly criterion for rating “lightness”. Anyway my husband said “but my Panasonic is top of the range! It only spits lime scale all over my clothes because you did it wrong!” I held my tongue over “top of the line” and told him, try it. Comes back shortly after with a beautifully ironed shirt and says “ok. You were right.” I think this iron was worth the money. If you set your water to a very narrow stream it does in the hole just fine. I love the flat ironing plate that doesn’t leave dots and scallops on my fabric and I love the hundreds of holes even in the middle. Have not had any leaking or wet spots.
