We got this for our grandkids ages 3-9 and all of them love playing it! They're working on their math facts and don't even know it! We took it to all their basketball games and the younger ones (also the parents) would play it to pass the time. No parts to lose as long as they keep the dice in the box. Simple game and very well made! My grandson's teacher got one for her classroom after I brought it in one day for math volunteer time.

I was turned on to this game a couple years ago and I said I have to get one. I've got this and I love it. It keeps my mind working with numbers. My grandkids are young, They love it and actually 3 people's already purchases this game since I played the game with them.

If you're looking for a great gift for a child who needs to learn to add numbers... this game is super fun and easy to play... plus its a fast game so you aren't sitting and playing for hours on end! They have to add the dice up in order to make the next move and then decide which pieces to "shut"... they will love it and so will you.

This is a great game with the benefit of helping kids learn their addition math facts. Great fun for everyone to play, but really good learning for 2-4 grade kids. We leave ours on the coffee table at all times and someone is always picking up the dice to play. Can even play individually. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because for some reason I could not make this a gift when I ordered it. I could not include a gift card. Thus the gift went to my friend's son with no indication why he was receiving it (for his 6th birthday). They figured it out and called me. They loved the gift.

We enjoyed this game with our 8yr old grandson who loves math!

Friends had one on game night. Wanted one afterwards. Lots of fun!

This is a great game! It’s fun for all ages. Fun to pull out for a cookout or a game night. One of my favorite things though is for building math skills with my grandchildren. When I play with the number they roll on the dice can be reached using addition, subtraction, multiplication or division or a combination of those functions. Really gets their brains working!

My husband initially purchased this game to bring to his classroom, to teach the kids counting and taking turns. Our kids won't let him take it now! With kids ranging from 8 to 15, it is difficult to find family games appropriate for everyone. Shut the Box is now a part of family game night. Would also recommend for parties or large groups since it is easy to play and doesn't require a lot of time or attention.

Simple, small design, easy to carry anywhere.

I bought a much smaller one before I got this one. I really like the size area to through the dice. If I was to make improvements to this board, is a thicker wood bottom and thicker felt. Trying to muff the sound. I also like the finishing on the wood.

This is a great game. We play for quarters, and it's always good for the couple of people in our crowd that have low attention spans (hahaha, husbands... amirite?!?). We've even played this with our kids, everyone loves it. Very easy to learn, very easy to play.

We recently went to Mexico and played this for hours on end. When we returned home we jumped on to Amazon to find this as we wanted to buy one. We found it and ordered it right away. This is one of those games that can be played endlessly with friends while have an enjoyable evening at home. As each person gets their turn it is the anticipation of trying to clear the board that keeps the momentum going. Love this game ad highly recommend it for all!
