Wow! Well designed and manufactured light, non-stick cookware that heats evenly, with adjustable vent lid.
This fully non-stick coated, cast aluminum pot is much lighter and easier to handle than the porcelain-coated cast iron cookware it replaces. In particular, it is easier to handle when putting into or removing from an oven. Even better for me, it is far easier to wash because it is half the weight of a comparable cast iron pot.Swiss Diamond makes excellent cookware. This 2.3 quart casserole is the 6th Swiss Diamond pot/pan I purchased over a couple years. The first was a Swiss Diamond fry pan bought at a local hardware/household goods store. I was so impressed, I started seeking retailers for other models of Swiss Diamond pots and pans. I retired several Le Creuset and Scanpan cookware pieces in favor of Swiss Diamond. Here is a list of what I have found to be the advantages of the Swiss Diamond cookware I now use:- Heats up quicker and more evenly.- Retains heat well. That lets me cook using a lower burner setting, saving money spent on cooking gas.- The superior non-stick surface is much more resistant to scratching than any other non-stick surface I ever used.- Typically, non-stick cookware is not useful for browning food. But I can brown food a bit with the Swiss Diamond surface. Having said that, I must point out the Swiss Diamond non-stick cannot replace my stainless steel fry pans or Lodge cast iron cookware for true browning or heavy frying.- Generous size handles are easy to grip and lift.- The non-stick surface coats the outside of the pot (except for the very bottom that contacts the heat) as well as the inside. So the whole pot cleans quite easily.- The adjustable-vent glass lid fits the pot securely and is better quality material than many brands' cookware lids. (Why do some brands seem to treat their lid products as a cheap afterthought? Swiss Diamond obviously considers design, engineering and manufacture of lids to be as important as that for their pots and pans.)

Right size for 2 people
This casserole/cooktop pan works for 2-3 servings. It is a little taller so fewer spatters when browning chicken on cooktop.. Handles are easier to manage when it goes into the oven. Overall, good design to. Easy to clean so I tend to clean by hand rather than soak or put in dishwasher.

Huge disappointment, don’t waste your money!
I was looking for a high quality non-stick pan that will last when I came across this brand. I decided to give this pan a try since it had great product reviews and they rave about their “lifetime guarantee”. I thought I would get what I paid for.Although the pan did perform well the first few months, it didn’t last. After a little more than a year of light use, the coating on the pan failed and everything started to stick to the pan. I assumed I must have received a defective product since this is marketed as a high end product and should last much longer. I decided to reach out to the company’s customer service and their “warranty team” about the issue. The warranty team immediately started pointing fingers and blaming me for not probably maintaining the pan properly, even though I followed all the instructions on their website about taking care of the pan and the pan basically looks new on the surface. After a lot of back and forth with their warranty team, they asked me to send the pan back so they can thoroughly inspect the pan. However, it was going to cost a lot of money to ship the pan back. I honestly don’t understand what they need to inspect physically that cannot be ascertained in the numerous photos I sent them already. It’s just a frying pan after all. The whole things felt very disingenuous. This pan costed almost $200 when I purchased it and I couldn’t justify spending any more money on something that barely lasted a year. I purchased other brands of non-stick pans around $20-30 and they have lasted much longer. For this price, I would expect this pan to last at least twice as long as my other more affordable non-stick pans.Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the performance of this pan as well as the company’s warranty team. This company clearly doesn’t stand behind its products and the whole “life time warranty” is just marketing. I would not recommend this product to anyone and this is the last time I would purchase anything from this company.

Wish I bought this square skillet sooner! Love it!
Cooks evenly, makes frying bacon a breeze! Great for crisp frying of potatoes and onions with no sticking! Quick and easy cleanup. A bit pricy but worth the money. Would buy again.

One Fabulous Pot!
This is a fabulous pot!!! I have a glass cooktop (not my choice, came with the house), this pan works wonderfully on the glass which can be difficult if your pans do not have absolutely flat bottoms. These will not warp. I will definitely be buying more Swiss Diamond products! Real quality pieces.
