Awesomely motivational book to kickstart a massive action year!!!
As I looked to boost my investing thoroughly enjoyed reading "52 Homes in 52 weeks!!!" Gene and Dolf wrote this book in a very easy to read format and disclose as much detail as possible while still respecting the privacy of the individuals involved in the transactions. Several books talk about theory yet this book details actual deals done. "52 homes in 52 weeks" lays it all out and encourages you to take massive action as Dolf and Gene dissect leassons learned from their deals with mind blowing re-engineering to their investing. This book hits home for me on so many levels since like so many people I was caught in the middle of the Real Estate frenzy. After the stock crash of 2001 in the Bay Area I was fortunate to attend Gene's seminar, moved to Las Vegas to invest and became a Real Estate Agent/Property Manager in the height (and hype...lol) of 2004. By then the Vegas market had shifted unpredictably catching many investors (myself included) who had been speculating on appreciation.Several years later while dusting off the cobwebs and reading Gene's hilariously graphical illustrations of these deals I'm reminded again why Real Estate is the ideal vehicle to achieving financial freedom. Mistakes will be and were made yet I think it's important to look back noting the leassons learned so as to not repeat them again (for example...now I invest strictly for income). With these experiences/criterias under my belt I've discovered an abundance of potential opportunities for lease option and owner financing in this recovering East-coast market. An opportunity which I otherwise might not have seen had it not been for my prior West-coast experience.Happy investing :-)

Only for the truly devoted
Doolf is the King of real estate investing as he is fully focused on one sector, he does not try to straddle the various areas which he refers to as trading. If you are serious about growing a real estate portfolio as a long term investment then Doolf, through his various books, is your ideal partner/coach/mentor, with the 52 Homes in 52 Weeks he proves to you that with focus and diligence you can become a real estate mogul in just 1 year. The main lesson I took away after reading this book is that even as a buyer you can be proactive in your search, advertising does pay for both sellers and buyers.

Winning Home Solutins
This is a fun book. An author (any author) finally uses the term buying "Subject to" and how this is really a form of Owner Financing or as Dolf says "OWC". This is not a how to book but rather another glimpse into the day in the life of a real world REI (although at an artificial time when there was hyper appreciation & Vegas ain't no normal city). Other products I value from this author include: DVD Success Series: Dolf De Roos' Real Estate Investor's College

Absolutely the worst Real Estate investment book published
Having earned my livihood from real estate investments for the last 6 years, I am always in the market for books that may provide a new idea. This book doesn't. It is nothing more than an infomercial for van Roos' seminars and private tutoring. The methods are straight out of Aesop's fairey tales. Burns, the student, is ridiculous. Do not waste your money on this most bogus and worthless product. The real world doesn't operate this way.

fun read
Fun but not much substance. Got lucky the real estate market didn't turn on them or they would have been up the creek.

An Autobiography Disguised as an Investment book
If I wanted to read an egotistical self-congratulatory book, I'd pick up an autobiography. If you want to learn about real estate investment, this is not the book for you. I was very disappointed.

Insiders Guide to 52 homes in 52 weeks
VERY basic stuff. Entertaining read, but not super practicle. Not one of Dolf's better books.

Review
This is another stunning master piece from Dr Dolf de Roos. This book takes Dr Dolf's earlier book "Real Estate Riches" from the generalised concepts of real estate investment to how to really do.
