Solid knee brace - Recommended by Physical Therapist
This knee brace was purchased for my teenage athletic son before surgery. Hr was having instability issues of the knee and was able to get back on the basketball court and play for a month prior to surgery. The brace held his knee in place but is flexible.Snug fit, recommend sizing up if you are not sure.

Bought to heal dislocated knee
I bought this brace to help my dislocated (for the first time) knee recover.*******I would define this brace's support level as Moderate, so purchase it with that in mind.******Before purchasing this brace, I was using an extra knee brace my dad gave me that was an open design with 2 straps going around the back of your leg, one strap was above the knee and one was below the knee. His old-fashioned brace let me pull the straps as tight as I want, so in the early stages of my injury, his old-fashioned brace was actually way better than this one, because it let me pull the straps WAY tighter (it would give my knee much more stability, but the tightness was chafing my skin pretty badly and it was not comfortable). I could not wear this brace for the first 2-3 weeks of my injury, because while it was way more comfortable, it simply didn't provide the support I need. However, after a couple weeks once my knee got stronger I was able to walk around needing only a moderate-level of support from a brace, so at that point I switched to this brace and never looked back to the old one.It offers superior comfort and is not too thick-- I wear it every day to work under my clothes and no one has noticed!Warning: Inside of the label, it says to not wear for longer than 2-3 hours. At night time, I switch to my old-fashioned knee brace b/c it is far more open/breathable. I would not suggest sleeping in this brace because it won't let your skin breathe.

Satisfied with this knee support.
I have been using this knee support for a few days and I've already noticed an improvement. I was using an elastic wrap before and the injury seemed to linger. This support captures heat and warms the knee area. The pressure from the snug fit is also nice. The metal support provides a little resistance, but does not prevent the knee from bending during normal activity.Measure your knee for a correct size. Large fits a knee of 15-17 inches. My knee was just over 15 inches and I can fit the support snugly with the velcro-like straps. Medium would have been too tight. If your knee is on a border size, go with the next size up unless you have thin legs.I will sweat under this support even when I'm inside. The support looks and feels well made. I'm content so far and will update this review if that sentiment changes.Notes from the package:Do not wear for more than 2-3 hours. Hand wash only and drip dry. There is a warning about rubber allergy, dermatitis, and circulation problems. My support was made in Taiwan. And the plastic package was easy to open and can be reused for storage.

Very good support
This is a very nice brace. It held up for two years. Still couldn't avoid the inevitable, had to have surgery. Will wear the brace in the future for support.

1st class knee protection
I use these to protect my knees while exercising (Tai Chi or softball or dancing). They have worked for me well for years, I've bought other brands, but these are the best. All 5 that I have purchased over the years are still functional.

Great support for tennis
Fits pretty snuggly which is exactly what I was looking for to provide support for my knee during aggressive tennis sessions. . Velcro straps are very strong so they do not come off like others that I’ve used. Also used during skiing which has been great as well.

Nice fit, reasonable price, feels good & seems to help
I got this 2 strap version to use at the gym and while working out in the yard. Just rec'd and made one trip to the gym. I'll update / edit later if my opinion changes. The brace did not slip down at all while doing elliptical at the gym. The straps kept it in place, unlike my older strapless neoprene sleeve. The side 'springs' seem to add some stability to this as well. I have a bulkier / sturdier / expensive Corflex hinged braced from the VA and this is almost as good for support or pain relief. This less costly ($23) one from McDavid will be great if it lasts 6-12 months of rugged wear. I did not feel restricted while wearing at the gym. I think this is the same as the Shock Doctor brand. The brace did have a rubbery odor when I unpackaged it. I hosed it down with Lysol and its fine now. I measured approx 17-17.5 / XL and its pretty snug. I may opt for XXL when I have to replace this one. I would think one could order up and use the straps to tighten it without any trouble.
