Very good but what's with the price inflation????
I bought 2 - 7oz jars in Nov., 2011 for $19 total. Now it's almost $27 with shipping and only 4 months later? It is very good coffee and I was ready to buy more until I saw this rapid price inflation. It was definitely the best instant I had tried--thought I'd found something I could just keep re-ordering and enjoying, but this price increase is unfathomable to me. Other coffees have not gone up in price so quickly. I'm afraid this price inflation will continue as Jacobs "catches on" more in the US market, so I really don't want to get too attached to it. Going back to searching for another good instant.I have read some surprisingly positive reviews at Amazon for Nescafe Clasico (of Mexican origin) and they say it's even available at Family Dollar for about $4-5 bucks per 3.5 oz jar. Sounds too good to be true, but it sure won't cost much to give it a try... For this review I won't rate Jacobs below 5 stars because my complaint is with the price--not the taste. It's a nice taste if you don't mind being taken advantage of by the distributor's greediness.UPDATE:Well, I went to Family Dollar today and bought a jar of Nescafe Clasico and I must say it was really not bad!! Since I use cream and sugar in my coffee, it doesn't have to be the greatest coffee taste out of the jar, and I think I'll be just as happy with the cheap Nescafe as I was with the expensive JACOBS. Yeh, I know I'm a bit of a cheapskate, but the taste of the Nescafe was really quite good!

Favorite coffee
Absolutely love this coffee. Strong and smooth. Reminds me of a good Turkish coffee we used to drink but nice because it’s instant. 2teaspoons in 8oz and I’m good. Highly recommend plus great price.

better than my keurig
Pretty darn good for instant. I used to be a coffee snob. I used to roast the beans, grind the beans, and slow drip my coffee. Then I got a Keurig as a gift. Hated it, but put up with it daily for 5 years. Went through 3 of them in that time because they break down all the time, especially with heavy use. I got sick of drinking what was basically colored hot water from the Keurig. I went back to drinking turkish coffee, but sometimes I want more volume, but don't feel like waiting for drip coffee. So I bought this based on some online review. For the money, it is probably the best tasting instant coffee. The starbucks individual packs taste better, but they're as expensive as Keurig K Cups. I live a block from Starbucks so I can just get coffee there for the same price. But at home, in a hurry, I boil up 12 oz of water in my Ibrik in about 2 minutes and stir in 2 teaspoons of this. It works just fine for me. It tastes better and is way cheaper than Kcups.

A Full-Flavored Coffee - tastes just like fresh-brewed Jacobs Krönung
Full-flavored coffee, which from my experience tastes exactly the same as fresh-brewed Jacobs Krönung, which I can't say about any other coffee.Krönung is far superior to instant coffees costing 3 to 4 times as much, such as the burnt flavor of Starbucks Via Instant Medium Roast Colombia Coffee whose burnt-roast flavor with an odd nut after-taste, tastes nothing like Starbucks coffee - in fact nothing like coffee. Mt Hagen is similar to Jacobs Krönung, for three times the price and a far less pronounced coffee flavor. If you don't like the flavor of good coffee, may I suggest the curiously flavored Jacobs Cronat Gold which makes oddly good iced "coffee". Cronat is definitely an acquired taste, that's not much like coffee. Jacob's Coffee Jacobs Cronat Gold Instant, 7.05-Ounce (Pack of 2)The bubble wrap each bottle of Jacobs Krönung came wrapped in left one of the two bottles broken, and Amazon provided a refund.

Perfect for traveling
When I travel, I need coffee in my hotel room as soon as I wake up. That could be as early as 3:00 am. Many hotels have coffee machines in the room, but the quality is generally awful. I've stopped wasting my time. When I go away, I pack a small container with this coffee, some chocolate Coffee Mate, powder, a big cup and an immersion heater (in case the room has no coffee maker - hello, Las Vegas). Perfect coffee. My favorite home coffee is San Francisco Bay pods, but this comes in a very close second. Just amazing how good it is. The only other instant that I like is Starbucks, but it is way too expensive. Plus, I like how you can customize the brew and the cup size with Jacobs.

The closest thing to brewed you'll find, period.
There are days that I just don't feel like grinding and brewing a pot of coffee forjust myself and I've never been a fan of instant coffee. A friend suggested Jacobs Kronungand I was like huh? Jacobs what? So naturally, I Googled it and began reading the reviews and came tothe conclusion that I ought to give it a try. I never thought a cup of instant coffee would actuallytaste good, but this stuff actually does taste good! On days when I'm the only one in the house drinkingcoffee this is my "go to" java. It's not as good as brewed but probably the closest thing out there you'llfind. As for convenience? A cup of water and a microwave, done. I can think of a lot ofcollege kids that might find this handy in the dorm room.

Good coffee but ditto on the price inflation comment.
Good coffee but ditto on the price inflation comment.I have bought this coffee several times over the last few years, ~$20 Amazon Prime.Maybe not a steal at that price, but quality/convenience/I'm lazy...I noticed now, not available on Prime and $27 with "free" shipping.I should add that what I describe is not limited to this product, but many others that I have bought on Amazon Prime over the years--either not available on Prime anymore or if available, with large (20%-50%) price increases.
