Looks like metal, but cheap like plastic
Doesn't cost much, looks like chrome plated metal, and was very easy to install. Looks much nicer than the typical cooper stub. The chrome plating is very smooth and consistent, much higher quality than the chrome plating on steel eschuans.

THIS IS A MUST FOR PEX PRODUCTS
This is a very good product that I will be purchasing again soon. I am renovating a house and ripped out all of the copper(I live in Alaska) and replaced it with PEX. These hide the blue and red PEX nicely at the valve stems and makes everything look very elegant , clean and tasteful. They are made of aluminum. To install using a Sharkbite valve, place PEX inside tube and mark the PEX with a pencil. Remove and add 1" to the pencil mark....That is your cut line to make the sharkbite hide the Pex.

Finishing Touches
This is plastic and not metal as properly described. It supported Pex A pipe and created a finished looked. Can’t complain about price since cost of everything is up. It’s best use on new plumbing so you can custom cut plumbing pipe to this item.

Look great when covering pex
Easy to install !

Plastic, but at least it won't rust.
The only downside is it is too small to accept even a 3/8" pex ring, so the connection is on the outside. Not a deal breaker but something to consider, probably best for a compression fitting instead of a crimp.

Does not work for crimped pex. only push fit
It was not clear that this is only for use on push to fit, and sorry, I don't want a leaky push fit, I want crimped connections. The tube as others mentioned is plastic, which makes it weak, it feels like it's going to break just trying to put it on the pex, and it's a TIGHT fit over 1/2" pex with zero room to spare. I was going to take a photo of how it doesn't work with crimps but the fitting was SCRAPING plastic off my pex pipe as I tried to put it on. Nope Nope Nope.

Ok product
Was expecting it to be metal but turned out to be plastic. It will not completely hide the pipe and might not make it 90 degrees to the wall because it bends at the mounting flange. Just mounting it on drywall may not work and you might need to support it from behind the drywall.Looks good and good value if you can work around the above issues.
