Its heavy all right
Yes this tool is heavy but looks to be good quality. Just know that it throws a bit of weight on the end of a pole.

Practice
I have been a professional drywall sander for 30 years now. Yes I do the job no one wants to do. These pole heads are good. They use to be great back in the days. They were made from better materials (fiberglass) and would last for years. Problem for Allway was that they weren't selling to many of them. Now they make them out of plastic that wears out quicker. There sales went up. The metal clips you have to take them off. Put the bend part of the clip which there is 2 of them in a bench vise. Take a pair of pliers and bend them just a tad more. The reason why the pole head fips is because of the operator, not the the tool. When pole sanding pay attention to your wrists turning. You turning your wrists causes the pole and sanding head to turn also. To much turning causes the pole head to flip. Also try to keep the end of the pole handle close to the center of the pole head.

Not a practical tool.
First- I spent a lot of years building houses and have done a lot of drywall work. Bought this because it was larger than my on-hand pole sanding gear which is old, and I'm restoring an old house. Two problems. First- the paper clap system is difficult to use, and poorly designed. However, the real issue is control. The swivel joint does not give you control; it allows the head to turn sideways and generally refuse to cooperate! About 10 minutes of that and I go back to my old gear. Can't fix poor design in this case.

Very Difficult To Use
The sanding pad flips while using it. It’s very difficult to keep it flat on the surface—in my case the ceiling I was trying to sand. I don’t recommend this product.

Universal Pole Sander by Allway
Item is very sturdy, the pivot head moves around pretty freely.Has a rubber bottom not foam like some.Reason for the two stars. . . the sander arrived with a convex bottom. I press down on one corner and the other corner lifts of the table by a good 1/4"Currently trying to heat the plastic with a heat gun then clamping it down to a straight edge board to correct.
