An Asylum for Freedom
Eric Foner is calculated, informative, and unforgiving in his compilation of American History. From the founding of Jamestown, VA to the end of the American Civil War and Reconstruction, Foner tackles the largest issues in American history from an objective and critical lens. For anyone wanting a concise, professionally written, and unbiased account of American history, this secondary source writing is a great piece to have in your collection.

This book is much cheaper compare to my college bookstore
I bought this book as a requirement for my history class. It's 40% cheaper to buy on Amazon instead of my college bookstore. This come with an online Quiz that helps you review each chapter material that can be used on PCs, tablets, and mobile devices. I took screenshots for each question with explanation and used it for chapter summary review. If you need one, be considered to check online places before purchasing at your college bookstore to save some money for already expensive college expenses.

Be prepared to read!
To be frank, I rented this book for History 105 so I am a bit biased. I think the book is written very well and is easy to comprehend, but the chapters are very long, for good reason though. It would be hard, to sum it all up anymore without stretching the context. So I recommend if you get this book for class, be prepared to be reading a lot. Also, since I have the Kindle e-book, the images are extremely distracting. I wish they could be smaller links to click on so they do not break up the main text.

History Class
When I ordered this, I was expecting a traditional textbook. This is smaller and almost the same size as a normal chapter book. Easy to read and understand.
