Partial review, so far so good. Waiting on full-size SIM for phone half.
This will be a two-part review, as the unit takes a full-size SIM card and I don't have an adapter for my micro-SIM. I ordered one and I will update the phone part of this review when I can install my SIM card. For now I can comment on the appearance and mechanical quality of the unit. It is good. It feels rugged and fits my hand well. With the antenna installed, it looks and feels like a walkie talkie, ruggedized, much like the ham radio HT's that I have experience with. But it is lighter than those, probably because the smaller battery in this one. But the internal charging circuit is smart. It won't cook the battery if you leave it plugged in. It draws about 640 mA from the USB cable (~ 3W) until charged, and then the LED on the face goes green instead of yellow when charging is finished. The walkie talkie function: it works as advertised. I tested it on the 440 amateur band, and on the FRS band, both transmit and receive. When speaking you will need to speak up, but OMG the receiver has a very ample speaker, sounds loud and sounds good. It's on the back. The mic is probably the same one that is used for the phone, and it seems to be near the "0" button as I moved it around while talking and listening on the other receiver. The antenna is a standard SMA screw-in mount, and the unit is waterproof with or without the external antenna, due to the rubber stopper that closes the antenna hole when not being used. The USB connector on the bottom is also plugged when not used, and it looks like a headphone jack is next to it - maybe a speaker/mic connector like my android phone has?It also claims to have bluetooth, which I will test with the phone portion. Also it has a decent white LED on the top which is enabled with a press & hold of the center of the main control (joystick, or "OK" button above the "2"). It shines at whatever you are pointing the external antenna at, out the top.It has eight (8) channels that you can program for the walkie talkie function. The description is a little flaky about the frequency range, and the manual is too, possibly leading you to believe that it is a dual-band VHF/UHF unit (136-174 MHz and 400-470 MHz). But if you try to store a VHF frequency into any of the channels, it will give an error message. I think that there are two models, and the one I bought is the UHF one. I'm a little disappointed but not very. I think the ad/descr. should be stated a little more clearly.I couldn't find a user manual ANYWHERE on the web, including the manufacturers site, but the one included with the unit is usable and minimal. It's in multiple sections, starting with English, then in Russian, Arabic, and Chinese. The pages are about 2.5x3.5 inches. The instructions themselves are two pages, preceded by a one page diagram of buttons and panel, and before that a page of warnings. I think I am going to write my own manual and put it on pastebin or someplace where other people could use whatever I discover about it.Which probably tells you that I have decided that it's worth it and I will be keeping and using this little gadget. It really needs to work as a phone, so when I get the adapter, I will put it through its paces and update this review with my findings. I am expecting to change the rating to more than three stars once that is done. The menu on the front face has several functions that you will probably not use, but I will list them when I finish up this review with a SIM card.PREPPERS: This unit is suitable for SHTF usage: waterproof, rugged, it fully works on the FRS/GMRS band and also the 440 amateur band. Still a useful tool when the cell network goes down. It can be charged from a (solar) USB supply, only needing two-thirds of an amp, useful as a light source, and fully functional while charging (that is, will run indefinitely as long as it is connected to some power source, even a small battery pack).

if your into self's you will be fine, but to point it and take a picture ...
The viewer and camera are on the same side, if your into self's you will be fine, butto point it and take a picture your out of luck, no GPS can be found.I put a sim card from T-Mobile, Runbo works fine.Runbo clarity of voice if better then my mann phone which I'll give a+.It could use a instruction booklet just to find all the application, for example: laser pointer I've yetto fine it, Runbo corporation should take the time to assemble a workable instruction booklet oninternet, one of the main reason I purchase this phone it said it had GPS, which I'm disappointed,if it's there I have not found it.
