Very surprising output
It’s smaller than expected but puts out good bass for its size. Has advantage of being installed in many locations due to its small size. This sub and box would fit under some seats. Has feet that can be installed for downfiring positions. Very good buy!

Pleasantly Surprised at the quality sound!!!
This is a little gem if used correctly. This is not a competition sub with massive bass. This is also not a sub that will be effective in a big vehicle. This is a small sub that works nicely in a small vehicle to add some solid low bass thump and fill. It is a single 8 inch sub at 4 ohms and comes in it's own enclosure. It has a decent power handling, but doesn't need a ton of power to sound good. I'm just using the rear channel of a four channel Kenwood amp at 150 watts to power it. Again, this is in a small truck as my competition days have long passed. The enclosure feels solid and has screw down terminals instead of cheap push tabs. Quality sound addition.

Excellent for my usage
I was looking to add a little more bass for my in-ceiling speakers in my living and dining rooms that are hooked up to my Sonos connect player. However, didn’t want any subwoofer noticeable in the living room. After realizing I had some space under my sofa, I was going to building my own shallow enclosure and purchase a shallow mount sub, but then I found this thing and it was nearly the perfect dimensions for my usage. Fits perfectly with just enough clearance and after adding a small $60 Fosi class D subwoofer amp with adjustable crossover and a $10 audio RCA through Ethernet adaptor, this setup was nearly exactly what I was looking for just a little over $200. No, it’s not nearly as good as my SVS or Velodyne home theater subs, but for this application, it definitely adds a presence to my 6.5 inch in-ceiling speakers for casual listening. I lucked out having an unused Ethernet jack close by and that I was able to find these inexpensive RCA to Ethernet audio extenders. They allow me to connect the RCA end from my Sonos in a nearby closet, go through my Ethernet cable, and plug the other RCA adapter to my Fosi amp attached to this sub. As noted in some reviews about the adapters, I do get a little hum likely because of the adapters, but it’s not noticeable. There are other more expensive RCA to Ethernet adapters that likely get rid of the hum, but it’s not worth to me. Regarding the sub itself, the enclosure looks pretty well made - much better than I could have made myself. Likely just mdf wrapped in felt, with a standard inset speaker connection. Nice that it includes feet and mounting brackets. The feet were perfect for me. I don’t think I could have built this any cheaper myself considering it came with the driver, felt wrapping, feet, and grill cover. I think the only dislike is that the amp doesn’t have auto power capabilities, so it stays on all the time, but I do have it plugged into a smart outlet, so I may be able to trigger the amp through an Alexa voice command.

Did not work straight out of box
Like I've said in my reviews before I travel a lot. So when I get home most the time I'm past the 30-day return policy. This one I just happen to be 9 months into the year warranty plotted for a car I was rebuilding didn't get to rebuilding the vehicle until a few months ago. Just got to the point where I was installing the sound system was testing the sub on a amplifier that couldn't quite push it but would definitely let me know whether it works or not and it just didn't work. Was hassled by customer service after being ignored for weeks and having to call up to te customer service and tell them that I have not been contacted about my sub and after the initial contact point when they asked me for model number and then ignored me for 2 weeks. Waited another week. Still didn't receive any email. Had to call up to the customer service again to get them to contact me. They finally contacted me and when they did they immediately assumed it was my fault and that I didn't know how to hook up a sound system which I've been doing since I was a kid blamed it on the amplifier I used as well as my inability to connect. A system made me pay for shipping to or return the product in order to receive a repair or a new one. Pioneer used to be one of the best audio companies out there. Not so much anymore. Probably going to start going with my number one choice. Rockford fosgate or Infinity used to be one of my favorite audio companies not anymore, especially after the horrible customer service. Me being the reason why it didn't work. I know how to hook up a system. I know how to wire it. I know how to match amplifiers to subwoofer the customer service at the warranty repair shop was very rude and kept assuming it was my fault sending me specs on the amplifier I was using and the sub when I already knew the specs. Just pretty much assumed I was ignorant to hooking up systems when I was not told me that my amplifier would not work with that sub cuz the sub is a 2 ohm and the amplifier only does two ohms with one connection and four ohms at bridge connection. Little did he know that I know plenty about connections and bridging and subs and was going to do two 2. Ohm wired in series and bridged which is A well-known way to pull from your amp to push two 2 ohms without having to overheat it. If you knew as much as he acted like you did, he would have known that. Been doing this for years. Have bridged to him speakers and pairs to 4 Ohm amps. Plenty of times. Never had an issue because there it is basic knowledge when it comes to wiring up a system when you wire two 2 ohms in series it creates a 4. Ohm impedance and when I wired up sub to just make sure it worked only had it wired to one channel which was only put out 75 w and would only destroy speaker if I was trying to turn it up and make it bang off of one channel at low wattage compared to the subwoofers RMS slots. Also acted like I didn't know at RMS wattage was just because I was quoting to him the advertised maximum wattage acted like I was so ignorant too. I thought I didn't even know what RMS was or the specs of either product. If you do buy a pioneer product, make sure you return it in the 30 days that you can cuz you do not want to deal with them. Their company has gone way down in customer service and quality will never be buying from them again

Single Cab Chevy
I've had this sub for about a week and wow, it came alive! I almost gave it a 4 star because I wanted something that would shake the cars next to me but once you set your expectations and give this sub some time to break in it gets DOWN. You can hear the bass outside the cab but cannot feel it. However, I play various genres, more on the Mexican side (old and new corridors), and it BUMPS! Inside the cab windows up or down it's got some solid bass. I have it paired up with an Epicenter and an old Boss 1800 monoblock (overkill but free is free) and you can get it to play pretty well. Being a sealed enclosure you get that punchy bass from the tuba and the bajo ocho along with the sustained bass guitar notes.

if you are not too bothered about trying to rattle your windows out this is a excellent subwoofer, it adds the low down thump that you don't get with standard door speakers, i have mine connected to a Vibe 400.1 Monoblock sub amplifier which is also very good and they work well together and will enhance your listening experience. hope this helps
