Every detail is perfect including portion numbers, level of difficulty and recipe icons denoting information such as gluten free, batch cooking etc. The recipes are so tasty, foods that you long for and all mealtimes are laid out in the book making choosing what to make next so easy. Review: Amazing book - 100% recommend! - Amazing book, from the quality and feel of the book to the images and recipes inside. Super simple and adaptable recipes, great for anyone whether you’re veggie, vegan or just trying to cut out meat! The fact each and every recipe has a beautifully staged (but real) photo is great as there’s nothing more satisfying then cooking something that looks like the picture in the book! If you follow Gaz on YouTube, you’ll know that he’s cooked every single recipe in order to get these beautiful images. So much time and effort has gone in to this book and I would 100% recommended it! One of the best vegan cook books out there. I’d only had the book about 15 minutes and had to make the chocolate porridge with caramelised banana and hazelnuts, it was so good!!

Beautifully Designed with Varied, Exciting Recipes
We started following Gaz on youtube during lockdown and he really helped us to beat the boredom. I bought his book for my partners birthday 2 weeks ago and we've already made the watermelon "tuna" steaks, the lentil bolognaise, the corn chowder but the star of the show for us was the southern fried shrooms -flipping delicious! Great for if you're starting out on your veggie/vegan journey and need some inspiration because let's face it, there's only so many curries and stir frys you can handle.. The book itself is so beautiful as well, there are photos of EVERY meal, which I lpve because I find photos way more inspiring than just recipes, it's cleverly designed to look like the pages are covered in flour and sticky bbq sauce too, and even though there's loads of pages of just photos, there are loads of recipes to try.

Simple but time consuming
Straight forward recipes but some are too time consuming for midweek meals. Easy doesn't necessarily mean quick in this book. Everything has turned out well and is tasty. It's just more of a weekend book for me.

Beautifully presented, clear and precise book.
Well, well, well! Where do I start! This vegan cookbook by the amazing Gaz Oakley is just fabulous. He has obviously come a very long way and this book proved it. It delivers, truly, even if one is not vegan, this book really should be amongst your go to for easy delicious recipes. His Bhaji Burger, pg 154 is outstanding and leaves you dribbling for more. The chilli bake, pg 132 is just so comforting it is hard to share lol. Gaz's spat bol, pg 69 is wondrous. The book is very well laid out with quirkiness throughout. Gaz has hand written tips on some recipes making the book feel as though it's a good mate and the pictures are big, clear and nothing is hidden. He is truly an inspiring up and coming chef who deserves accolade as he is very humble, funny and true to veganism. But as I said you don't have to be vegan to own this book. One thing though, there really should be a section as to where I can buy some of his T Shirts, as they too are quirky and fun. Highly recommended, a purchase no one will regret.

My first Vegan Book
I bought the kindle version. Easy to navigate and to find recipes. There are references to other recipes during one already e.g. Crispy fried lemon tofu, Gaz references the mushroom prawn toast as one of the options you can serve the tofu with. Of course if you click it, it will take you too that recipe (hope that made sense). I have already made a recipe from Gazs Youtube channel, the Jamaican Curry (sooo good) but to have all the plant based recipes (which i prefer) in one place and not have to go searching is my kind of organisation. So glad I got this book. Cant wait to work through it. Ive only been Vegan since the beginning of 2020 and I must say that its been the easiest transition and fun as I feel like im relearning about food. To know i can still enjoy my food especially caribbean food vegan style and with flavours. Oh my!

You Don't Have to Be Vegan to Love this Cookbook!
I've recently transitioned to vegetarian and this is not the first time I've tried to do so. My problem in the past was I just got so bored with eating the same stuff which I found bland and I'm not a fan of all this fake meat as it is full of things I can't pronounced! Gaz's book has truly changed my world of cuisine. Everything I have cooked has been amazing and even my carnivore husband loves it too! Everything is full of flavour, it's fresh and creative and done with basic ingredients found at most supermarkets. This cookbook will excite you and if you're just transitioning to a plant based diet, it will be a game changer in your success. He has some other cookbooks that I haven't tried yet, but they are on my list. Enjoy!!

The best cookbook out there, and it's vegan!
This is by far his best book yet! Every recipe is so easy to follow, there is a picture reference for each recipe, and those pictures are so vibrant and clear. All of the dishes that I have made from this book so far have turned out so well. They are delicious and a real hit with the non-vegans too. A truly fantastic book, as the reader you can really see that a lot of love and hard work has gone into this book. I love it!

I know Gaz from his YouTube Channel and was excited to get this book. I am so happy with it!! It has gorgeous recipes, from easy to a bit more difficulty/effort, but all with easy to follow instructions and great photos of the results. I love his style in cooking, because his recipes are unique and interesting, but usually he uses "normal" ingredients - so it's more about the way of preparing and combining than just buying fancy ingredients. It's lovely to read, too, because Gaz wrote the recipes himself and he writes them exactly the way he talks in his videos and it's just the cutest (beautiful golden onions, stuff like that). The book is just beautiful, it's not only a cookbook, it's personal, it's very high quality in images and content, it was obviously thought about a lot - so it's a great gift, too.

I saw this book at a local flower conservatory. I didn't have time to really look at it. I figured I would give it a try. There were a couple recipes that caught my attention- lasagna, curries, eggplant parm. Upon receiving it from Amazon, I realized the author is from Wales. Not all of the ingredients match up in America. The book does give the American equivalent like courgette is a zucchini. An aubergine is an eggplant. What I like about it is that there are alternatives to foods I can no longer enjoy because of dairy (lactose intolerant). I am curious about the lasagna and eggplant parm. Two things I haven't had in years. There are pasta dishes that have wholesome ingredients that I can make with ease. I have tried 2 recipes out of this book. Both I have been extremely happy with. The barbecue sauce for the vegan meatloaf is delicious. The vegan meatloaf is delicious. I have also tried the sauce that comes with the eggplant. It is easy to make and very tasty. In both cases, I didn't have to play with the recipe. Just a little more salt and it was perfect. The family was happy with it. There are what feels like many recipes that contain tofu. This was at first a turn off. I eat tofu but it isn't my go to. I have also encountered ingredients that aren't so accessible here or I don't have on hand. The recipes are easily improvised. No chickpea flour? Use a flour that is on hand. In my case I used regular white flour. Coconut sugar? I substituted regular sugar with awesome results. There is an expensive ingredient to make scrambled eggs. I was disappointed to see a can of it cost $11. it was discouraging until I tried a few recipes. I was sold on the book. 5 stars: This is the type of plant based cooking I would find in one of those boxes delivered to the door. The recipes are excellent. Easy enough to make. Easily substituted. When I saw all of the tofu recipes I questioned if this was the book for me. After trying a few recipes, I am sold and definitely keeping this book. I can't wait to try more recipes.

What a book-didn’t have any expectations when I ordered it, but every recipe I tried since has been bombastic! Super delicious and the recipes definitely give a nice twist to the daily meals one usually cooks! Just made the Creme caramel out of the book - unbelievable. A book that will convince every meat eater that meatless and dairy free meals can be as good!
