Classic Banjo Songbook: with Online Video & Audio Access

I love all the Banjo books by Geoff Hohwald. This book is very good just like all of them. Geoff explaines how to play each measure and then plays them from slow to fast. For a beginner it good to have his Banjo primer book first because you will have all the steps and basic rolls to be able to play with this classic Banjo Songbook. Or get this one first and take it from measure to measure and keep practicing with Geoff and you will be able to play. He is one of the best teachers. I can tell you I have been following him for 30 years and he has the knowlege and patients for beginners all the way up to expert. You will not be disappointed with this book very easy to follow and understand. Practice is the key.

This is a great book to learn a bunch of good bluegrass songs, including Dueling Banjos. Really good arrangements, and you get video lessons for all the songs. It's an excellent deal!

This Banjo Songbook meets his high standards and gives a running start at solos for popular jamming songs.

This is a great tool for learning some of the best known bluegrass songs on the banjo. You can learn different breaks to the same song and listen to tracks that were recorded being played a different speeds. The book and video instruction is clear and concise. I really don't know how this could have been improved upon. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to get a volume 2 in the future!

A must have for the bluegrass player. Excellent song selection and easy to comprehend! Great for beginners or those looking for more variety.

This book contains some songs that are really fun to play, and the video lessons and audio practice tracks that come with the book are priceless! This book is perfect for a beginner/intermediate player.
