Great option for our flock!
We use this for our flock of chickens and foraging ducks. I love that it gives them constant access to water and is deep enough for the ducks to clean their bills out. If you're considering it for ducks too, be aware that you'll have to clean it regularly by bailing it out, there is no easy draining method. And you'll still need a pool for them to swim in occasionally. The product seems to be high quality, except for maybe the float- its made of plastic. Installation was easy. Glad I read reviews though... I put extra effort into making it level when installing to avoid overflow. The edges of the metal bowl can be a bit sharp so grab your gardening gloves.

if your planning to hook to a hose fitting outdoors you need a fitting to adapt to 3/4 NPT
Great bowl, works fantastically. with a minor issue. The vendor offers a quick attach barb that does not connect to the hose directly, it will connect to the inlet to the bowl, to which you can connect a quick attach hose fitting from a garden hose, however, if that lays in the sun the water is crazy hot when it goes in the bowl. The smarter better solution is to buy a 1/2 male to 3/4 female NPT fitting and connect directly to the faucet or to a splitter coming off the faucet to keep the high water temps down. the shorter hose does not get near as hot in the shade as a long hose does. would be great if the vendor included the adapter to make this plug-and-play out of the box.

Hose is of no used is defective
The hose was of no used, it was clamp wrong or not tight it enough, it just leak, more of a gush of water when connected had to make a trip to Home Depot for a replacement hose and connection

Great waterer for chickens!
This waterer has been a game changer for my chicken coop! The metal flap helps protect the valve from the chickens beaks and has held up much better than any other auto waterer I’ve tried so far. It’s also extremely easy to clean. If you’re sick of repairing broken valves on your chicken waterer, or are looking for an easy, simple way to provide your animals with constant supply of fresh water, look no further!

Lasted less than a year because of cheap float component
I bought this in August 2022 for our chickens and it's worked really well. Of note, I also purchased this adapter as others recommended, to help with connecting to the hose: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087GKPMVG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It was really easy to install (with the adapter), and worked well from August - November 2022, when it was disconnected for the winter. I hooked it up again this spring without issue, but when I unscrewed the bowl last week to clean it, I was unable to reconnect it because the plastic thread on the float had stripped. (HUGE BUMMER). Although I could replace just the float, I'm spending a little more to replace the whole unit, because the lack of drain hole makes it super hard to clean the bowl, and as we all know, animals dirty up water really quickly. It feels well made in general, but clearly the durability on the float component could be improved. If I could do it again, I'd buy one with a drain hole off the bat.

Worth the money.....absolutely
I bought these for my dogs to use in the summer and traveling. Very sturdy, not made of flimsy steel, this thing is nice and thick and heavy duty. I bought 2 actually, 1 for home and the other for camping. I made a stand for the camping one and i'm excited to try it out. It holds water fine and doesn't tip over when they drink from it so i think it will be just right.

Wouldn't buy again.
We bought these for our goats and dogs. Once installed they lean towards the front. Trying to set the float to be about 1/2 way full would not work. The water overflows all the time. We bought a different type and they worked great. Don't waste your money.
