Spellbinding, breathtaking, and just plain wonderful.
Although met with scrutiny, KINGDOM HEARTS turned out to be easily one of the best games available for the PS2, not to mention one of the most heartfelt. Obviously no expense or effort was spared in this tremendous labour of love, a fact which is brought to light even stronger by this impressive double-CD set.Although it has been available in Japan for quite some time now (I got mine in September of 2002), it's just now making its debut on Amazon.com and I can't begin to recommend it enough.Just one listen to a few seconds of the music stripped away from its accompanying game will impress anyone who aren't even enchanted by games: sweeping through a huge panorama of moods from the gentle wistfulness of the opening "Dearly Beloved" to the motion picture-style epic quality of the main theme that moves you with all the grace and dramatic sweep of a traditional Hollywood score, the KINGDOM HEARTS soundtracks swells with effortless varity offering both the gentle and the complex. It even has a pop song written specifically for it (translated "Simple and Clean"). And yes, KH fans, it does have every piece of music in the game. And even more so: Disc 2 sports the bonus cuts "Having a Wild Time (Previous Version)" and "Destati".Because the game itself is so moody, the musical variety here is guaranteed to never be dull. You get traditional Disney ("Mickey Mouse March"... yes, THAT Mickey Mouse March) and the more recent ("Under The Sea", "This is Halloween") and new touch-ups of Disney faves created for perfect mood and atompshere as opposed to being merely a simple carbon copy of the original ("Winnie The Pooh") mixed with the absolutely spellbinding new compositions: tracks such as "The End of The World" inspire genuine awe with their delicate arrangements and choir vocalizations, and both "Hollow Bastion" and its accompanying battle track "Scherzo di notte" use orchestration to its fullest extention with feelings of fear, drama and desperation. This huge set is worth every penny. If you enjoy the game, you MUST get this, no excuses. Also, if you happen to be merely a longtime Disney admirer who hasn't played the game yet (as I was when I first heard this one) then by all means check it out anyway! You will love every moment of it, I promise you. Well, maybe not the "Mickey Mouse March" or "Under The Sea" since everyone has gotten so sick of hearing those ones so darn much, but everything else.So why are you still sitting there merely reading this? Don't you understand? You've got to check this one out. It OWNS you! ;)

Wow! 5 stars isn't enough!
Wow! I loved this product. It was well worth the $20 that I paid. It had excellent quality music from the original "Kingdom Hearts" Play Station 2 game. I listen to the music everyday on my iPod. Kingdom Hearts had most all of the songs that I had wanted. It has world music, battle music, boss music, and other cool music. The only song that I didn't find was the song that plays when you fight Sephiroth, which I was kind of disappointed because that was one of my favorite songs. Otherwise, this was a great product.Oh, and don't listen to some of the other reviews, because some of them said that the music was in Japanese. I was afraid at first because I wanted the songs like Simple and Clean to have the English lyrics. Well, the other reviews were WRONG, because when I bought this product from Amazon.com, the lyrics were in English. For all of you out there that have played Kingdom Hearts, are playing Kingdom Hearts, ever will play Kingdom Hearts, or just like action packed music, then you should buy Kingdom Hearts Original Soundtrack, from Amazon.com, because a lot of other places sell the Japanese version. I hope that you like listening to Kingdom Hearts Original Soundtrack! Enjoy!P.S. If you liked this product, then buy Kingdom Hearts, Vol. 2 ! It has even more great songs!UPDATE 6/29/2012: I'm STILL listening to these songs! They're so great! Definitely worth every cent.

Japanese Vocals
Be warned. if you order from fantasy gamer 83, you are ordering the JAPANESE VOCALS for songs like hikari (simple and clean). While the package does have the english names for the songs so you will know what order they're in, the vocals are NOT IN ENGLISH like the page suggests. This is especially notable when you look at the cover image, there is text in japanese under the main logo.Regardless, the music is beautiful and will give many feels/nostalgia.

Just Plain Awesome
I'm a big fan of the Kingdom Hearts games, so I had to eventually get the soundtrack. A lot of the music in the game is catchy. Many of them reflect classic Disney themes. Some are pleasant. Some are epic. Some are a bit childish. I don't like every single track on here, but suffice it to say there' something for everyone on this album. Plus the renditions of Hikari (Simple and Clean if you get the English version, I somehow wound up with the Japanese version) are beautiful.Long story short if you like the games, you'll like this album. It's awesome!

An Excelent Buy
Just a heads up. There's ~50 tracks on this CD. at $18 thats around .30¢ per track. The music on here is worth so much more though. I bought this over 3 years ago & some of the songs are still on my main playlist that I take with me into the car & drive to work with. I'm not just talking about the OP song either. Granted one could get this off a torent for free, but when there is a phenominal game such as this supporting is the gammers job. Unless of course you want the games to be of lower quality.

Lovely Soundtrack, Neat Goodies
The Kingdom Hearts Original Soundtrack is a must have for die-hard Kingdom Hearts fans. There is nothing quite like owning the official, physical copy of the game soundtrack. Not only are you experiencing the soundtrack in all of its uncompressed glory, but you are treated with an abundance of neat art included with it. I treat this more like a display item rather than a music piece, the entire package is something to admire.

Disc 2 isn't here
The first disc is present and in good condition, but when I turn it over there's some random disc where disc 2 should have been. Severely disappointed.

So glad I bought this
Honestly? SUPERB. It has EEEEVERYTHING. All of the little in between pieces of music, all of the entr'actes and endings, there's nothing this does NOT have. It has the full versions of the main beginning piece by Utada as well which is phenomenal. So glad I bought this! Hours of the prettiest soundtrack I have possibly ever heard apart from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!
