Totally Worth It!
This thing was great. Freezing cold temperatures and the lock and key always functioned and the clamping knobs (which secure your gear) were easy to use and brilliantly designed. And it held our poles, skis and the extra snowboard we picked-up along the way. It's really sturdy (heavy) and was worth the extra money.

Best hitch track for the money. Period.
The ski rack expectations. I am going into my second season of using it and it has been excellent and securing both skis and snowboards. With a hitch stabilizer I have found it to be extremely sturdy and quiet. I regularly trust it with thousands of dollars worth of equipment attached. It is very easy to take on and off, if you have a jeep or SUV with spare tire, though I do recommend getting the right size hitch extender. I have had up to two snowboards and three pairs of skis on this rack at the same time.

Pretty awesome with just some minor flaws
Got this for when family came to town to accommodate skiing trips. Assembly was easy and I really like this thing. We had zero issues getting our skis in and out and it didn’t feel cheap. We didn’t need the straps, but it was helpful to have a second person there to help adjust things initially (the distance between the two brackets was too large for kids skis when I initially assembled it). My main criticism is around the lock, it’s super annoying that the key cannot be taken out when unlocked, so it’s always unlock, open, lock, then the lower one same deal. Would be more convenient to open and close and only lock if you really want to. For our Ford Transit Connect the hatch does not open fully because we can’t tilt the thing back enough. Would be cool to be able to tilt it a little further without needing a hitch extension. Make no mistake there’s a lot of plastic on this thing so it will likely not last years with heavy use, but for occasional trips this thing is pretty perfect.

Great ski and snowboard carrier
Used it twice and it worked flawless. Read that some people complain ski are too low in the carrier, not sure if they know but you can adjust how high your ski are in the carrier by almost a foot. During use skies were doing great and we loved it. They will get your skies out of your car to free up space for ski boots. Negative: 1. You will need to use your naked hands in cold to open and close this carrier. 2. It's not very fast operation, only used it twice so learning curve but still will take you a few minutes to load and unload. After a few times probably around 10 minutes 3. Left to right this carrier is rock solid but back and forth there is movement. There is however ready solution for around $15 you can get hitch stabilizer. 4. There is bolt to lock in up position or unlock to allow back door access, it's not quick release mechanism you will need to srew the locking bolt it and out on loading and after unloading to get you staff from the trunk. Overall great buy if you dont have or don't want your ski on top of the car.

Top quality rack, complete setup - no extra purchases needed
Over the years, I've had many of the 'industry name' racks. It always seemed that you had to buy the base, and then the locking cores for the components (who wouldn't want to lock your rack?) and then the kit that allowed you to lock down the rack to your car/truck. This setup has everything you need - out of the box. This rack has it all. And one of the slickest parts is that the tighning bolts, that are removable for different rack positions, are connected via a strong plastic holder (see pictured in red). So you don't have parts dropping, etc. The rack, even with 6 pairs of skis, doesn't wiggle much at all. And it's stable for high speeds (triple digits) and we even have been through huge side winds and no problems at all.

Great Sturdy Rack
Had this product for nearly a year now. After an entire winter, which included two road trips back and forth between So. Cal and Aspen Co, the rack did not rattle, was sturdy and worked great. We also have a Thule cargo roof top box, and it is by far more convenient to load up our skis on the back of the car than on the roof. Plus I love having the freed up space on the roof. The only thing I think could be improved would be a quick release latch to have quicker access to the trunk. But I already think it’s amazing value for the product as is, so undoubtedly a quick release would make it more expensive and would probably not be as sturdy. So no complaints. Lastly, we had an issue with one of the the locks. I believe salt and dirt from the winter roads caused the problem. I had never heard of this company, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that their warranty / customer service department was responsive and mailed me the part in no time. They were great.

OK product
I use this on a Toyota Prius as an alternative of a top rack. Works well except for the following issues: 1. The bolt that secures the rack to the hitch gets loose over time while driving and the rack becomes wobbly. This makes me feel very uneasy. I needed to stop and tighten it three times during a 6 hours trip; 2. It can't be adjusted upwards enough so longer skis (180cm) would hit the ground if secured as recommended. I had to move the skis up in such a way that the stretch where the binding is was secured into the slid between the two horizontal bars. Since the binder is thicker I had to carry each ski adjacent to each other rather than against each other. In result I could carry only two pairs of ski (the 180cm and another shorter), not three, on one side of the rack.

Terrible quality
Bought this item in November and used it for first Ski Trip in December. After one use, the lugs on the red clamps and horizontal pins started breaking off. Thankfully I only had two pairs of skis so I could use other clamps and pins to replace the broken ones. Then had more clamps break during the second trip and now it's impossible to properly secure the skis. This is a safety hazard and just terrible build quality

Does NOT Wobble If Installed Properly
Used it for a couple months and have been very happy with it for my family of six. Takes a little more effort to put the skis in and out, as compared to a roof rack, but much easier to access, especially if you drive a higher vehicle like a van, like I do (family of six). There are several steps for securing or removing the skis. You have to unlock the bars (two) slide the skis on, then put the top plastic clamps on, then lock the two bars, then put a safety strap around the top portion of the skis, then another safety strap around the bottom and over the bindings, to keep the skis in their place. Takes me about 5 minutes to secure or remove the skis. With respect to some comments about it being wobble or rattling, that will not happen ‘if’ you read and follow the instructions. The instructions clearly indicate that you must thread the pin screw bolt through from passenger to driver side, and tingly screw it in with the included wrench. (see picture). Once it’s tight, it will not rattle or wobble, but you may have to tighten it every 100 kilometers or so. Only takes a couple seconds and they include a wrench for this purpose. Final Thought: Takes a little more time to secure your skis but still more convenient then a roof rack if you have a higher vehicle. Only drawback is that it may partly obscure your backup camera when it’s on. Lastly, it sometimes goes on sale. I’ve seen it on amazon go as low as $412.34 before import duties and taxes.
