Cheapest RF room stat I could find, with all the important functions. Don't bother spending more on the RT520 unless you are a landlord and want to be able to lock the system; this is easier to use.Some handy info- this unit can connect directly to switch 230V, or can connect to 0V systems.For people saying the installation instructions aren't clear- if you can't understand the diagram then you shouldn't be installing this item as it requires wiring a connection to 230v mains electricity ⚡ ☠️Has 5/2 weekly or daily programming, frost protection/holiday mode, +1 hour and manual modes, so great functionality along with on/off and auto/manual switches on the receiver unit.My top tip is don't use it in ITLC mode, it doesn't really save you money and is simply more likely to make your heating malfunction. It comes set to this mode, simply flick dip switch 2 (on the room stat box) to SPAN.Best regards, Hugh

Bought to replace previous model, very simple to install, easy to program, good product.

I needed an improvement for my boiler controls, previously reliable on a simple wireless room thermostat. The old method caused me to often override the timer on the boiler itself to put the boiler into permanently on but not timed mode.This Salus controller has the range of features I needed, and was being sold at a good price.Once ordered it was delivered as promised and appears to be as you would expect. It was easy to install the new receiver where the old receiver was, and the instructions for setting up the programs on the thermostat were easy to follow. It has mostly worked as expected, however it does seem to have had a functional glitch on one occasion, failing to stop demanding heat when it should not have demanded heat. The thermostat functions seemed to be locked. To clear it I eventually put the thermostat itself into manual mode then back into automatic mode and it then seemed to work correctly. Perhaps it was human error which locked the device, I am monitoring its functioning closely, but it does seem to be working correctly again.

Great bit of kit - wired it into my new S-Plan system setup. Very easy to setup and so far it operates correctly.We use it in it's most basic setup using target temperature; set the minimum temp for the house and whenever the ambient air falls below that, the system will come back online to hit the mark.Also has all the usual programming features, but I probably wont use that. Even for holiday modes etc, I think it's easier to just lower the target temp out of reach.

Swapped for a faulty old version, although the instructions aren't great worked it out eventually. Easy to set and more options than I was expecting.

Heating control died, so decided to try this controller and fit it myself.Surprisingly easy to install. Paired straightaway and as I had a similar model before I found it easy to program.Would recommend this, good value for money.

It only lasts for 2-3 years

This is a competitively priced programmable thermostat which when installed works well. However, the instructions that accompany the device are hopefully inadequate and using these alone I would not have been able to install and program it.The YouTube video by the manufacturer goes some way and shows the basics of programming but still falls short of the mark. Its only by reading the YouTube review comments (that slate the device and its instructions) where people have provided additional information that I was able to complete the installation and programming.If you are not prepared to do some research and spend time then avoid this product but if you are its competitively priced and works well.
