3.5mm 1/8" Mini Gold Plated Female Headphone Jack Plug Stereo Audio Panel Mount

The materials make this look like a high quality device.b ut the mechanical connection to the inserted plug is poorly designed and does not function well as also described by others. After soldering them into the circuit and testing, I took them out and threw them away. Too bad, I was looking for trouble free connections from the gold plated devices.---Professional Electrical Engineer

Unimpressed. The jack will not let a 3.5mm cable plug into it securely. Cable constantly wants to pop out just enough that that left channel cuts out. It does not "bite" the male jack enough to hold it in place properly. Once I order a different and better solution, I will be desoldering this and throwing it in the trash.

The jack is a little bit loose, but otherwise functions perfectly. I've found that it really depends what cable I plug into it. One of my cables will fall out if left alone long enough, but others will stay put no matter what.I installed this into a pair of Ultrasone headphones after the cord started cutting out and I love having a detachable cord on them
