Restoration Games Stop Thief! 2nd Edition,Multi-Colored,REO9008, ages 8

This game is so much fun, you'll want to play it for hours. The card graphics, money and board are so much better than the original, pawns are cheap, I went on ebay and bought the original pawns to the game.

Love restoration games. When I realized they remade this game I had to buy it. It was well done and pretty fun. Family loves it. Not too complicated. Could have used a couple of “possibility markers” to keep track while you’re in coop mode. But otherwise worth the $

This is a fun game to play with the family. Download the app and the app plays as the thief you try to chase around the board. It’s fun but an intelligent person can see the pattern quickly and solve the following moves quick enough. Kids loved it and my parents enjoyed the puzzle.

This is the third Restoration Games set I've bought, and they've all been high quality. This one is no different. If you're coming from the old game, the main difference is there's no dice anymore and instead you have a personal deck of six cards which include movement and things from the original cards like tips. One of the six cards lets you pick up all your played ones, so it's pure strategy and not the luck of a dice roll. Each investigator's cards are slightly different which mixes up abilities. The current thief also has an effect to mix it up even more. It can be played with the original competitive mode, a new cooperative mode, and a new cooperative where a person gets to control the thief. There are 6 tokens and card sets so you can play competitive and cooperative with up to six players even though it says 4. This is the second edition which adds a set of thieves just for cooperative mode and removes the stealing ability of one investigator which didn't work in cooperative. The instructions in the app currently don't mention these which is a bit confusing. You have to switch over to the printed instructions when learning the rules.

My parents had the original game and I always loved to play. Game play is through smart device. You can use the classic graphics or the modern. We opted for modern as we could never remember the classic sounds and their associations. You can play as a group goal to find the thief or someone can play as the thief. The board material is durable and printed well. Not cheap or flimsy. You can still find the original on EBay for around $75 but I would be worried for the function of the handheld. We opted to spend half the price and use the smart device. Our family of 7 loves this game. We even recommended to friends and their family.

Stop Thief 2nd Edition is a great addition to any gaming collection. The associated app features competitive, co-operative, Solo and other modes of play. Great value for the money :)

Stop Thief is a perfect family weight introduction to logical deduction games and hidden movement games. The app is simple to use. We like the cooperative mode and the 1vsAll mode

Great game for families with kids of varying ages because of the cooperative mode. It’s a challenge (even for adults) to keep track of where the robbers might be, so it’s helpful to have everyone talk things out together.

I had been looking for this game for years! I loved it as a child. Both my kids love this game. I'm so glad that this company brought it back.

Spannendes Spiel was man auch zu zweit kooperativ spielen kann. Die Spielregeln gibt es in der App auch auf deutsch, jedoch für die Texte auf den Karten muss man die Englisch-Kenntnisse bemühen. Aber diese sind nicht allzu kompliziert. Dieses Spiel ist sehr strategisch und macht Spaß. Das Spielmaterial ist sehr wertig und liebevoll gestaltet.

We played this game so much when I was younger. I love the updated version of using an app. It is the exact same game and sounds. My 13 year old loves the sounds and guessing where the criminal is. *A helpful suggestion is to buy little cubes (we use google eyes) to place on the spaces you think the thief may be. Sometimes we question a few spaces at one time. Have fun!! 👍🏼
