We have shown here 4-8mm pumice. But most of our customers have preferred 2-4mm size of Pumice for potting mix. 4-8 mm pumice is mostly preferred for mulching (top layer of soil). Approximately 2-3% Pumice dust may be available in this pack. We have shown here all the 4 sizes of pumice available with us for reference of our customers..
If size of Pumice rock is big enough (bigger than 7mm), we can easily see them floating over water due to light weight and availability of air cavities inside pumice rocks. But, if we break them into smaller pieces, air cavities of pumice gets filled up with water and find it difficult to float on water. However, we observe that 50% of Pumice smaller than 7mm was also floating on water. But some of them were submerged in water..
Hence, if we are planning to buy pumice for pond or aquarium, we recommend to use pumice of 3 cm-5cm..

Pumice stones have been successfully used in Bonsai ation and other s in Japan for a long period. Pumice stones are made from volcanic rocks and therefore they are not found naturally in India. These stones are imported from other countries where Volcanoes are available. Use of Pumice stones in potting mix of garden s is considered as the best choice because it’s fully . For farming, use of these stones is increasing. Pumice stones have porous composition and they are much lighter than ordinary stones. They contribute in soil aeration also. Pumice improves the quality of soil because of its porous properties. They retain moisture in optimum quantity and absorb needful ents for continuous supply to s roots. Pumice stones ensure proper drainage in soil. All ents can be stored in the small holes of these stones for continuous supply to s. To show y growth of s (due to use of pumice stones), some images of the s have been shown only for reference. Those s will not be sent along with this product. Pumice stones have a tendency to absorb atmospheric moisture, hence small droplets may be visible inside this pack, as a result of evaporation during hot weather. Pumice stones do not break down so easily. However, perlite breaks down after some years in powder form easily and may clog the soil drainage. Due to these reasons, most of lovers prefer to use pumice stones in potting mix, instead of Perlite. It does not attract fungus or insects. Pumice creates ideal conditions for growing s like Adenium, Cactus and succulents as it increases the water retention in soils and allow more transportation of needful es for y growth of s.
