Works as stated, Incorrect dimensions in tutorial
This Brown Shower Door Latch works great and fit perfect to match the one I replaced. Keep your existing screws because it doesn't come with screws. The screws need to be very short to keep from going all the way through your steel shower frame and hitting the glass door when closed. The dimensions in the tutorial or in the displays are incorrect. The one dimension everyone is looking for is incorrect and misleading. I was looking for the H.C. screw hole center to center to be a certain number for mine to be a perfect fit. The tutorial indicates 3/4" H.C. but it is really 1" H.C., which is what I needed. If it was 3/4" H.C. I would have needed to drill new holes to match and install. The other dimension that is incorrect is the height. Instead of 3/16" it is really 1/2". I could tell the 3/16" height was incorrect just by seeing this in the picture. What tipped me off to the possible incorrect dimensions on Amazon is most other sites, but not all, had different dimension for the exact same latch. It was kind of a mixed bag. Now I know some of the other sites just happened to be correct. Amazon needs to fix this on their tutorial. Overall this latch is well made, works great and should last a long time. Before I bought the Brown Latch I purchased a Prime-Line Latch from my local hardware store. The Prime-Line Latch is 1/3 the price and it's pure junk. The spring popped out on installation and never would seat to stay in place so I took it back. My local hardware stores did not carry a better replacement latch so I went on-line. Internet shopping is great for finding just about anything. Pay a little extra and get the Brown Latch, It works !!!

Don’t be fooled because it is plastic, it works better than the metal ones!
I’ve lived in this home with the same shower closure for 32 years. The spring loaded catch finally failed, I went to the local hardware store and could not find the same catch, instead a stainless steel one with a metal spring behind the nylon tip. At home the new one wouldn’t catch, I fiddled with it some and still nothing. Finally I went to a different hardware store, but they only had the same as the first one I bought. I bought one though and tried it, it worked slightly better. But still didn’t catch properly. Then I looked on Amazon and found this one, it is exactly the same as my original one that last 32 plus years. It works perfectly!! What a waste of time and a little money for the others that didn’t work. New screws were not provided with this one however, you’ll need to reuse your existing screws.

Product works fine, however, did not come with the screws to attach.
So far, this shower latch has worked great. it is the exact replica of what we had, that broke. Keep in mind that it does NOT come with the screws to attach to the door. Make sure you keep the old screws or plan to buy 2 new baby screws!

It works!
This shower door latch actually works! It only took less than 5 minutes to install and adjust. Tried the Prime-Line latch; don't waste your time and money.

Expensive Latch, Exact Match that Works
Must admit I never realized shower door latches wear out, but after 8-years my shower door was no longer latching. I tried without success soaking to remove accumulated salts. Tried oiling, and eventually concluded the internal spring had failed. I found this latch searching the Internet, but thought it too expensive relative to other latches. I decided to purchase it plus a spare as a Prime Member because it appeared to be an exact match--plastic, colors, and dimensions. The new latch was indeed a perfect match, but it does not come with screws so had to reuse existing screws. The new latch holds the shower door closed, but it now takes considerable effort to open. You hear a click closing the door and a click when opening. A shot of WD40 did not reduce the stiffness, but that's okay as the door is now latched which was the objective.

Great find!!
Have been looking for months trying to find this shower door closure. Tried several things and nothing worked. Was so thrilled to find this and it works perfect. Ordered extra so I don’t have to go through this again. Remember to keep your screws from previous closure as they don’t come with screws!

Does the job!
After 10 years, our shower door stopped closing properly. This latch fit perfectly! It’s barebones though, so keep the old screws because this doesn’t come with any!
