I have had a Chicago Tool drill press for 20 years. About 2 years ago, the handle on the main table broke and I have been using vice grip pliers to rotate the shaft which moves the table up and down. I started looking again for a replacement and found this product. There is not a picture of the rear side, so I asked the seller what shaft this fits on, and they replied very promptly 12mm. This is exactly the size I needed! I gave it 4/5 stars because the product did not come with a set screw. As you can see from the pic, I luckily have a bunch of extra metric machine screws and found one that fit. Since they are random screws I have, I do not know the size.

Ordered two of these for my craftsman table saw since the original hand wheels broke. These are a bit smaller in diameter, but they have some sturdy construction, and they fit like a glove. Thankfully I already had the right size of mechanical bolts on hand.(I want to say maybe 1/4-20 but I'm not actually sure on that.)

Item appears well made but is missing the set screw that is required to keep it on the table saw adjuster. I will have to purchase at local hardware store at additional cost. Not too happy for a missing part.

Wheel is not metal. Arbor size is not 1/2".

The Shaft hole was a little tight but little polishing with crocus cloth solved the problem. Over all It is a very good quality hand wheel and will serve well. I would rather have the fit rather tight than loose, like the old barber said "We can always take some off but we can't put it back."

Wish I would have saved my money and bought the full steel version of this replacement wheel. Probably had more to do with the drill bit I had, and that fact that I didn't have a drill press, but opening this up to a 1/2" diameter did not go well. The steel metal insert stripped out of the plastic. Ruined the 1st wheel like this. Took more time on the 2nd wheel, and added cutting fluid. Went a little better. Wheel was usable though.

The hand wheel on my Delta Shopmaster table saw was broken and it was a real pain to adjust the blade up and down. The factory part was no longer available online, so I had to find a replacement that would work. After some research, I ordered this one to give it a try. It's not an exact fit, but with the right screw to tighten it up and hold it place, it's been working just fine. Since I only do little projects around the house, this was a good quick fix and it's been working fine for me.
