Small and tidy
This microwave only arrived today, but I’m pretty pleased so far. I have a very small kitchen so have lived without a microwave for about ten years, but my oven has broken down and can’t be repaired at the moment due to covid restrictions, so I finally decided it was time. My criteria was something small enough to fit, functional and inexpensive. This fits the bill, and looks pretty good, though it’s not perfect: in wiping down the microwave before using it, I’ve already wiped off the word “power” from above the first dial.. I didn’t think I’d been that heavy handed with the damp cloth, but maybe I don’t know my own strength?! It’s not silent but doesn’t “sound like a tractor” as one other reviewer phrased it. As others have mentioned, the colour of the “wood” is darker in real life than it appears in the photos. Overall, it’s a neat little machine that fits in with my kitchen better than I had hoped.

The 700W power is spot on for everyday use – it heats food evenly and much faster than my old microwave. The interior is spacious enough for plates and bowls of all sizes, and cleaning is a breeze thanks to the smooth finish. I also love the sleek grey design — it looks modern and stylish in my kitchen and fits in perfectly with other appliances. The build quality feels sturdy and premium too. If you're looking for a microwave that’s affordable, looks great, and works flawlessly, the RHMD714G is a brilliant choice. Highly recommended!
