Car Roof Cargo Carrier 20 Cubic Waterproof Rooftop Cargo Carrier for Top of Vehicle Soft-Shell Roof Bag with Storage Carrying Bag and 8 Reinforced Straps for All Cars with/without Rack

We purchased this roof bag cargo carrier for a recent trip to visit family. We opted for this one due to the room & ability for it to be folded and stored in the storage bag. We fit a large suitcase, a medium suitcase, a carrier suitcase, & a large dog carrier in this roog bag with still a good amount of room left. We had no issues with attaching it to our SUV's roof nor with traveling over 500 miles each way. They only issue we had was water did get inside the roof bag when it rained, but that was because we forgot to make sure the zipper cover was down and velcro when stopping for gas prior to the rain starting. Overall, this was so worth it & helpful, providing our family & dogs more room in our SUV so everyone was comfortable.

I purchased this right before our yearly road trip to Outer Banks in NC from Long Island New York. , which is a 10 hour ride if lucky, this fit so much, 4 beach chairs, biggie board, towels and more. It held up great on long trip. Just make sure you close with zipper on side of car , not up front. Due to wind shear. I would put a zip tie to close also. Going there we had no issues, coming back we zipped to front instead of side like way down, and the wind partly opened. We put back to side, like on way down and had no issues on the rest of 10 hour trip. Well worth the money for the size it is and how much space it frees up in car. Might have to adjust your roof racks or cross bars , but once you do your all set. Highly recommend for road trips!

This thing is super easy to install, has TONS of space. We were able to fit 6 suitcases plus a cooler inside. And it held up through a 10 hour trip across state lines. However, when it rained, parts of our luggage got wet still. Husband and I believe the water got in through the zipper compartment. But other than that, we couldn't find any water. There is also no way to secure excess straps, so we had to get creative to tuck them away do they wouldn't flap in the wind during the drive. Still pretty nice for the price.

We used this rooftop back for a trip from Florida to New York and back and had no issues at all! We are a family of 5 and had to extra people with us and had plenty of room for all the suitcases and a few blankets packed in between to fill the extra space to keep anything from shifting too much. Honestly it was a great purchase. We had no tearing or breaking of buckles or zippers. We hit it with some Kiwi weatherproofing spray just to give a little extra protection since we were driving through a hurricane on the way back 😅I would 100% recommend this! I was nervous at first because some reviews showed tearing at the buckles BUT the key is to evenly distribute weight and pack the taller items towards the back because the bag is taller at the back than the front for better aerodynamics. Dont overnighter the straps so there isn't a ton of pull on it and put down a non-slip mat under it and you will be on your way with no problems! We will be using this same bag for out next trip to NY and I forsee it surviving for a few more after that!

I bought this for a trip to Florida. I get my luggage out and everything is soaked. I am returning it when I get home.I am totally deflated because it looks and feels excellent. The seams are even waterproofed with tape, so I had high hopes.The downsides-1. Not remotely waterproof. I don’t know where it leaks from, but I suspect the fabric itself. I had the zippers covered correctly.2. On a 2017 Ford Escape (or like-sized car) with side rails, it is too wide for the front buckles to cinch up properly.3. There are no Velcro or clips to tie up the excess straps. The instructions show the straps having them, but they don’t. So you either come up with a solution on the fly, or risk it damaging the paint and banging against your car the whole way.Bottom line-you will regret buying this.

I bought this to move my daughter to her college dorm. This is cavernously spacious. Rugged material, strong straps, and easy to figure out. My minivan has only side roof rack tracks, but if you strap it down right, it didn't slip or lift from the drive.I recommend laying it out on the ground and packing it evenly, so you get a layout of how to load it later on the rooftop.It didn't rain during my usage, so I can't evaluate it's waterproofness. But the overhanging flaps and the additional velcro seal is a nice touch.I highly recommend this, just keep all valuables in the car, and the rest up on top.

Had to do a 40 hr drive to move across the country. In the end, a lot of stuff ended up being tossed due to mold since this definitely isn't waterproof. The install was very easy and it's convenient to have a case to fold it up and store it in. But this is best for light travel where you're going to be unloading everything at your stop instead of keeping things up there for a week

A little hard to understand the directions to put it on, But once it's on it works great. We put it on my outback. It's a little short for the length of my car, But very wide. We fit a queen sized sleeping bag, 2 adult sleeping bags, a compressed memory foam full camping mattress, 2 life jackets, 2 back packs, a duffle bag, 4 beach towels, 2 kid coats, 2 hoodies, a very large tarp, 2 bed rolls, and two pillows in it. This thing is huge. I'm not sure on the waterproof part as it didn't rain, but it is very durable. My one piece of advice is when using an extra strap to put a twist in the strap to cut down on the wind noise.Shipping was slow. It took just under a month to arrive.
