A tried and tested speaker that truly holds its own!
We purchased the 9.1s and 9.CS due to space restrictions and colour requirements for our home, moving from a 10.6/4/CM setup. First let’s start with the audio! Bass is extremely well controlled and has a nice tight response while still delivering a deep bass when required. The front port potentially helps the speaker in certain circumstances when compared to a rear ported unit. Bass is fast, tight and very well controlled, it’s not as deep as its rear ported and larger brothers but overall for the price the response of very impressive! The tweeter controls the highs very similarly to the rest of diamond range. A nice warm, controlled, clear and calming high range is presented to the user, no harsh “tinny” sounds are delivered which lends very well to this speakers placement in a home theatre. The design is very elegant, and while the speakers are large, they are very elegant and do come in a huge range of colours so suit most users needs. Bi-wire /ba-amping is also available, along with a large range of colours and mounting options. Delivery was fast, the speakers came well packaged and arrived ahead of time and in great condition. We tested the speaker side by side with its younger, larger and more expensive brother 10.4/6 and were surprised with how well these speakers stood up. While they don’t deliver the same levels of bass, coupled with a subwoofer in a home theatre environment they are actually very similar sounding in these conditions. Overall, we give the 9.1 a 5* rating based on its price / performance and overall aesthetics as we simply can’t fault the audio based on its price and its build quality. If you are looking for a high quality big cinema sound for your home theatre at a very competitive price these are the speakers for you. A true tried and tested speaker over the years, that can go toe to toe with its bigger, more expensive brothers.

High quality- but big and heavy
They are somewhat bigger to be used on a desk with a computer. I won’t recommend buying this for a very small room like a student dorm. You won’t get to experience the best unless you turn up the sound l. Nothing wrong with the speakers. They sound awesome. Also the box is heavy and big so I won’t recommend this to students or temporary residents since you’ll struggle moving them.

Good speakers for the price
Slightly larger than expected , placed them on stands on either side of tv , they are now part of a 5.1 av set up , produce a decent sound with sufficient bass , however my sub kicks in when needed . Read some reviews that over time the glue that holds the rubber surround around the drivers deteriorates and causes the driver to vibrate and create a rattling noise . Only time will tell if this issue will affect my speakers , I will keep the grills on mine to protect the drivers from dust and sun light . If these speakers came in a gloss white colour would have gave them 5 stars.

Better than a desktop sound
I am a born again Audiophile and my 4 foot KEF concordes are too big so relegated to the loft. Bought these to go with an old Yamaha AX 396 Amp and Audio Technica record player. Thse fill my room with a great sound, nothing touches them for the money unless you pay over £200. Got them in white, and they look modern. They are not small bookshelf speakers they do have quite a size and and bigger and better than i expected, For my lounge they fill teh room with sound and I can listen all day to them , lovely for the price

Very competent budget speakers
I already had the centre speaker which I bought a couple of months prior to these. My next purchase was originally going to be a subwoofer, but as the centre speaker's bass was enough for me I decided to go for these instead. After connecting them to my Pioneer receiver and running its speaker calibration, I'm getting a nice balanced sound. Ok the bass doesn't go right down to floor rattling frequencies, but I don't want it to - I get on with my neighbours and I'd like to keep it that way!

Fantastic sounding, well built and high quality speakers. Dont by a sound bar, buy these instead!
I purchased these speakers to replace a monitor audio 5.1 system that i spent £600 on which were attached to an onkyo AV receiver. I can honestly say that just 2 of these speakers out perform the whole 5.1 setup. It has so much more range, you can really hear all the mids, treble's and bass separately compared to my old system. I paid £129.00 for these and thats a bargain. They have a sound output that makes you think they are far more expensive. These will outperform any soundbar you could purchase with ease and for less money but remember that you do need to purchase a suitable amp to power them. 5 Stars from me!
