Al good
Worked as described. Be careful when pushing the fan blade onto the shaft as the back side, where the bearing is housed, may break away through the very thin metal cover.

it was a perfect drop in replacement
It was a virtual impossibility to replace the industrial ventilation fan assembly installed in my bathroom. It was basically built into the second floor addition and would have required a gutting of the area to remove. This left me with tho only option to replace the motor in the fan unit assembly. I ordered this unit, it was a perfect drop in replacement, it's quiet (certainly compared to the failing unit that it replaced), it was a breeze to replace, under 15 minutes.

It works!
I used the product to replace an existing unit that stopped turning. The new motor arrived with on of the mounting studs bent. The stud broke off when I tried to straighten it. I installed the unit with three studs instead of four. It seems to be operating just fine.

Motor is great, needs to ship with rubber seals too.
First off, the motor works great as expected, I just wish it came with the 4 little rubber grommet things that that the motor seats in that the threaded legs fit through. I didn't know until I took my motor out that these were bad. They are little rubber seals/collars. Mine fell out when I took the motor out. There is no replacing them and no way to get them from a local box store. I had to fashion some new ones out of some stuff I had laying around my garage. The cheapest part of the entire assembly is one of the biggest deals.

Apparently more than one type of motor for this fan
The motor fits properly in the mounting bracket of the fan housing, but the spline is smaller than the keyed hole in the existing blower wheel. I ended up having to order a complete motor/wheel/mounting bracket from another source for an ADDITIONAL $89.00.

Died after 15 months!
I purchased this replacement fan motor from CSH Incorporated through Amazon.com. The original fan lasted more than 8 years. This replacement motor lasted only 15 months. The manufacturer conveniently has a 12 month warranty!

Exact mechanical dimensions, smooth installation
This unit perfectly replaced the failed motor in my S80U fan. Its mechanical dimensions, right down to screw thread pitch, were spot-on, and it installed easily. The noise level is the same as the original S80U was before the original's bearings failed. This part saved me a lot of rework on the ceiling cutout.
