Must Read Book!
What a cute book! The references to Robots are in every single sentence of the book. Really adorable and my 3 year old finds it funny. Its the typical putting a toddler to bed routine ... funny to read about a robot doing it too. Put this on my list for the next time we need a gift idea for a little boy.

Love this Book!
This is such a sweet book and the illustrations are wonderful! I love that the story is told in the "voice" of Little Robot- as he tries to extend bedtime every which way, (which reminds me- I need to tend to my cogs). I highly recommend "Power Down, Little Robot." It's funny and sweet and a perfect addition to your "tuck- in-bedtime" ritual.

Such a cute book about robots going to sleep. I gave this as a gift after reading it at storytime at the library.

My boys loved this book
My boys loved this book. It was very cute and had clever word play. My favorite thing was the pictures. They were charming and whimsical. Very 50's esque with obvious inspiration from the classic Jettsons cartoons. I want to frame them and hang them on the wall.

Great jokes for nerdy adults, but probably lost on little kids.
There are some very clever things in this book, but I think they are too clever for little kids. The story is also a little awkward. The artwork is great, and my son loves robots so he just flips through the pages and could care less if I actually read it to him.

Bought this primarily for the illustrator. Tim Zeltner's work is inspired and complements the story beautifully. I hear there is going to be a sequel.

Cute, but it seems a little confused of it's intended audience
The book is written like a very young child's bedtime story book in format. But it uses excessively intricate technological and robotic terminology like you would expect in an older children's book. The result is that my robot obsessed three year old son loses interest entirely. My 5 year old thinks it's cute "He drinks oil instead of juice or milk!", even she cannot understand terminology like "open my stalling program" and I had to explain. Their 11 year old sibling laughed at all the appropriate times and understood everything, declaring it funny and cute and loved it. So I again feel this book is confused: who is it for? It is charming and funny, but the older readers will enjoy it more than the younger ones.
