Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG - The Jewel of Yavin

This is an amazing adventure for the Edge of the Empire RPG. It details Cloud City and Bespin for use in your own campaigns as well as providing a fun and exciting adventure with something for every character type.

Note: I've read the piece cover to cover but haven't yet run the adventure.PROs:--My gaming group loves to optimize and plan their scams and operations. Bespin was one of my favorite Star Wars locales. Planning and prep is a major part of this compelling adventure, set in Bespin. The adventure offers many noncombat encounters to test player skills (bring the charm, you scoundrels, deception, computers, mechanics, streetwise, stealth and athletics), along with piloting and combat. Players will be letting off lots of pent-up Tibanna Gas with this.--The game offers some interesting cumulative check tables to help gage the level of player success foe some major game events.--The Adventure captures that Star Wars Feeling.CONS--The adventure could benefit from more detailed maps of some city sections.--Some suggested character professions for the adventure or even character prefabs would have been a nice value add.--Bespin residents seem to love pistols. I would have liked to have seen a little more weapon variety included -- carbonite rifles, for example.Rating: Five Ughnaught ears.

This is an enjoyable Heist, as noted a few times, adventure. There are tons of opportunities for good roleplaying, a thief type will shine as shouldn't surprise, a pilot has one section to themselves, computer use, combat opportunities, really everyone has a chance.Don't expect to use the Cloud City information and run a year campaign. It's very slight information to support the specific module.Two new races! Ugnaughts (should have expected that) and Lutrillians.Lando has a Cool of 2. LANDO HAS A COOL OF 2! HERESY!

Great adventure for Edge of the Empire setting.

This is a great adventure set in the Cloud City world. It even has stats for characters from the movies and ships and lots of details you can use in other adventures.

Again, Fantasy Flight hits it out of the park with a prebuilt campaign. This is basically an Ocean's Eleven style mission. If you're players would dig that, then this is for them.

It’s a great addition to my Star Wars role playing game.

The production values are top notch, everything seems well thought out. I’ve yet to play this with my friends, but I’m sure we’ll have a great time. Delivery (to the Netherlands) was right on schedule.
