This Ceylon cinnamon is as good as, and at a fraction of the price I’ve paid at spice vendors. And it’s organic. I should’ve thought of Amazon sooner. Same texture, aroma, and flavor as I’m used to. So if you enjoy this type of cinnamon I think you’ll be pleased if you try it. I certainly was.

I can only comment insofar as to how it tastes in a bowl of plain Greek yogurt with granola, blueberries, and honey (the only time I use cinnamon outside of holiday cookie baking,) but it seems every bit as good as the ceylon cinnamon I buy from my local grocer, for a fraction of the cost. Imported from Sri Lanka, which is pretty much the home of ceylon cinnamon. Good resealable packaging. I'll surely be buying it again and again. Much tastier than common cassia cinnamon (more of a mellow sweetness, rather than bitter/spicy,) and safer to consume in larger quantities (>1g/day) as it contains only trace amounts of coumarin in comparison. Research has shown that excessive coumarin consumption can possibly cause liver damage and cancer. It's for this reason that I'd rather not go back to cassia cinnamon, despite the cost savings. (Did I mention that it tastes way better too?!) A side note: the grind is very fine, so it can be a bit of a mess to work with -- I recommend refilling (carefully) into a shaker jar.

My husband (a diabetic) and I have done a little research on the health benefits of cinnamon (see The Scripps Cinnamon Study), particularly on lowering blood sugar levels, among other possibilities. It is my understanding that Ceylon cinnamon is best, so we were excited to find this organic brand for a reasonable price on Amazon. We are putting a little in his coffee every morning, and he seems to require less sleep and have a little more energy, too. Not exactly science, but encouraging; a seemingly worthwhile habit to adopt. It seems to have some positive effects, and it smells and tastes divine, as well.

the cinnamon is different than the normal store brand. It is darker and has a stronger taste. Supposed to be better for you.

As a senior I seriously take great consideration of what I put into my body, health nut would be an understatement. Love the taste, quality packaging, good content, pricey but I would buy it again, i load up on it when i have sweet treats, to stave off big insulin spike, imo

This is a great quality cinnamon. Love that it is organic, top quality, has a great texture and is versatile in uses. You get a great quality size bag for the price. Love the smell of cinnamon. I would highly recommend.
