Easy to use low cost analog meter
Nice little meter for testing AC/DC, Ohms, batteries, and DC amps. Does not have auto shutoff so remember to turn it off when done. And it takes (2) AAA batteries.

Great for small breadboard testing.
Bought this specifically for the DC current testing. Don't forget to get extra fuses. I always blow fuses, lol. Works fine. A great price for a DC current tester. My digital only goes into the micro amps. I needed milliamps for breadboard designs. I don't need the A/C part of it. And sometimes you need 2 testers when prototyping.

Nice but just not right for my toolbox
I was looking for something to replace the cheap old analog VOM that I kept in a small toolbox that got stolen. Most of my meter usage is for simple continuity, 12 vDC, and 120 vAC checks, and I prefer analog to digital meters for tasks like those. I ordered this based on good reviews and price but I'll probably send it back. It's a bit too big and perhaps a bit delicate for getting banged around with my pliers, hammer, wrenches, and chisels and stuff. It's certainly portable and the controls are nicely laid out, and if I did more bench work like I did in the past I'd keep it, but for now it just isn't what I'm looking for.

Good choice for casual use
This is a handy meter for non critical measurements. The main reason I picked this unit is that it is the least expensive I found that would measure up to 10 Amp DC current. Its quality appears reasonably good relative to the price paid, but it is not very rugged. It is not heavy, so it will not tend to stay put as you move its wires around making a measurement. While I found it easy to use, its accuracy did not meet requirements for exacting measurements (I compared it to a much more expensive Simpson multimeter --not a fair comparison.) Somehow while doing various tests the unit stopped working, and I found that one of the two installed fuses (0.5 A) had blown. I could not determine what the cause was, as I was not doing high voltage testing or current measurements. Be that as it may, I replaced the fuse (lucky I had an equivalent) and everything was fine. In terms of accuracy, the AC and DC voltage functions appeared to be fairly accurate, especially for the price of the meter, but resistance measurements were significantly off, particularly for resistances below 100 ohms, and especially under 10 ohms. The unit consistently gave much higher readings than I would have expected. So in my opinion, the meter would be useful to determine the "ballpark" value of low resistances, but I would not use it for that purpose if my needs were exacting. (There does not seem to be a way to calibrate the meter, and the couple of variable resistors I found do not seem to be intended for that purpose.) One interesting characteristic I discovered is that the polarity of the wires when making resistance measurements was reversed. In other words, the voltage applied to a resistor to measure its value was positive on the black (common) terminal and negative on the positive (red wire). This would normally be of no consequence, but measuring, for example, a transistor junction, would make an NPN transistor register as PNP, and vice versa. A diode's polarity would appear reversed too. And, no, reversing the polarity of the batteries would not help the problem because the needle would move in the wrong direction. All in all, it is a handy, yet inexpensive piece of test equipment that will suffice in many applications.

Gardner Nender GMT-319 Multimeter
Replaced my old analog multimeter. This is twice the size of my old handheld and much easier to read. Works great for this old guy!!

Maybe worth the inexpensive price, but not more!
Very cheaply made, very light and flimsy. Ships with probes just thrown into packaging, secured together w/ twist - style wrap only. Would recommend they ship a cheap case that has room for the probes, even if charge more, or at worst, ship it in a cardboard or thick paper box big enough to hold the tester AND the probes together, instead of the heat-sealed plastic packaging it comes in. Shipping was very quick. The 1st one I got, I couldn't get the resistance testing function to work, even after downloading the useless manual from the manufacturer site. I've had dozens of multimeters over my many years of different types and makes and never had trouble doing a resistance test with any of them. So I returned it to Amazon for a replacement, which came literally the next day. Opened it up and tried it.....same issue. On a whim, unscrewed the back of the unit and found it it doesn't ship with the 2 double A batteriess required, a first for me in purchasing multimeters! Worse, nothing on the packaging or even in the manual tells you it doesn't ship with batteries and you have to install them before it will work. The manual even specifies "Power Source: Two 1.5V AAA (non-rechargeable batteries" and "weight: approx 250 grams (including batteries)" both giving the impression they are included. Very shoddy packaging and instructions......at least a warning "batteries not included" or something to that effect.

Doesn't need batteries except for measuring resistance.
This uses batteries only for resistance measuring -- it's not semiconductor operation but works like the old-fashioned multimeters that measures volts and amps even without batteries, which is what I was looking for. Yeah, seems to be a good meter.

Third class Chinese product. After 3 months it stopped working and no guarantee, warranty or return for such a cheap quality product being sold by Amazon. You will get better Multimeter for 600 from local market

This is a great test meter for the money. It works well and is easy to read. Having worked all my life as an electronics engineer I wanted an analog meter for my hobby. However the first one I received was faulty and was returned. It didn't read on any setting. I think this would have been due to the inadequate packaging (a brown envelope with no bubble wrap). This was just dropped at my front door. I was tracking it on my phone and that was the only way I new it was delivered. Driver we have a door bell. Amazon get you act together.
