Worked great on a variety of wire sizes and types. Mostly I'll be using Cat5e and Cat6, because it's cheap and plentiful.As described. Delivered promptly.Using this for hacking with the Raspberry Pi. The connections work with the pin spacing on the Pi and solderless breadboards. Container closes fine and stays shut. There is a good variety of housings that handle male and female connectors The small tab that holds the connector in works fine after repeated uses. There are straight and right angle headers. The male and female connectors are okay but could have been better. I bought a set of Elegoo EL-CP-004 120pcs Multicolored Dupont Wire 40pin Male to Female, 40pin Male to Male, 40pin and cut the wires off as needed to insert into the housings instead of trying to crimp the connectors. Crimping the supplied connectors is not easy. It is easier just to get the wires that are precrimped. So I mainly bought this kit for the housings and the header pins. I later bought a high end crimper and have recently crimped a number of the connectors and they work fine. If I could get the high end Amp connectors, I would, but these work okay.

Nice set. Works well with suggested crimp tool. However the math appears to be wrong on the number of connector housings vs. female connectors. 150 female connectors are no where near the required quantity if you use these to connect to male headers. My math calculates out to more than 1000 female connectors would be needed to use all the supplied connector housings. I would purchase more female connectors from Hilitchi, except Amazon doesn't appear to sell the female pins separately. I did find some Coobl female pins I am ordering. I hope they will fit the connector housing supplied in the kit.

Very nice little kit. Everything stated in the add came in proper amounts. The pins on there breakable rails do perfectly unlike a lot of cheap kits with them. solder seemed to take well to them as well they had no weird substance like some of these do that solder runs away from. all in all very nice well worth few $ cause every was of very good quality!

I ordered this when I decided to change my 3D printer's control board to using a Ramps 1.4 setup. I needed to change all the cabling over to using dupont connectors.This kit worked very well for the intended use and it was really easy to work with.If you are considering buying the crimper only do so if you have a lot of cabling ahead of you. I made around 100 cables and did so with plain old needle nose pliers, which was easy. So unless you're pressed for time and need 100's or even 1000's cables crimped you are probably fine with just using cheap pliers.

I highly recommend this for anyone playing around with Arduinos, Pics, Pis, etc.Everything seems to work together. I had previously bought some different Dupont pins and housings that didn't fit each other, but that is not the case with these.Once they are crimped on the wires, these pins fit properly in the housing and fit on header pins, etc.The case is a bit on the flimsy side, but does an acceptable job of keeping everything organized.

I probably didn't need as many male connectors as female connectors, but this kit contains a wide variety of connectors that can be used for quite a bit. Remember you'll probably want to have a crimping tool to properly make use of these connectors. So far everything has worked out great.

If you want to make custom dupont-style connectors these work great. The only downside is that they don't include nearly enough pins for all of the housings in the box. There are 420 pins, half male & half female, you'd need about 1100 to actually use all of the connectors assuming you need half male and half female. It's not a big problem, the value is good, it's just hard to track down a reasonably priced set of pins if you wanted to use them all.I would prefer more pins, and a few less of the larger housings personally.

Never need a Dupont connector again. This kit has a range of single connector headers plus pins. After some practice (and a suitable crimper, sold separately) you can get custom cables without too much work, but it does take some practice to get the crimping and insertion down. Which leads me to my only complaint: the included pins and fairly soft and far too few. I recommend buying some more robust pins both for practice and better results if you get this kit.

Good quality (not the best, but perfect for my need), very nice and solid case.
