Finally
I have always had excellent dental hygeine. I brush after every time I eat and floss at least once a day, and used Listening or even straight up peroxide as mouthwash. My husband mentioned a few times he wondered if I had tonsil stones because I had better hygeine than him, but there was still an odor. I had my tonsils removed years ago, so that wasn't possible. (I even checked the area where they used to be) I was so embarassed. I upped my dental cleaning even more but nothing worked and it improved minimally. He mentioned reading something about sulfur buildup, and a Google search led to info about 'volatile sulphur compounds' as well as this particular type of mouthwash. I was used to mouthwash burning a little but this mostly tastes like water. I followed the instructions and swished a capful for a full minute and then gargled for another minute just to be sure. I had him smell my breath and he just said 'Wow, so it was just sulphur!' I don't feel self conscious about kissing anymore or talking to customers at my job. Now I don't feel like I'm showering everyone with my rancid dog breath. This mouthwash isn't cheap but it works for me so I think it's worth it.

Miraculous!
If I could give 6 stars I would! I've learned to live with my husband's halitosis for decades. The only thing that has ever worked in the past was a prescription mouthwash prescribed by his dentist. Unfortunately, it also causes teeth staining so my husband discontinued using it. Seriously, this stuff is a miracle! After 1 use, my husband's breath was fresh, no after-odor. A few hours after his first use, his breath was still fresh. I did a sniff test the morning after and while there was some odor it was nothing like normal. Also, this was after only 1 use. I will definitely be buying getting a subscription set up for this. It makes a huge difference!

Only thing that has worked
I take medication that gives me dry mouth, which inevitably leads to bad breath. I can sort of tell when it's bad, I get a bitter taste in the back of my mouth, and my kids don't pull any punches -- if I'm talking to them in close proximity, they'll let me know exactly how horrible and stinky and awful my breath is. I'm super self-conscious about it, so I chew gum constantly, use a tongue scraper regularly, brush frequently...all of which mitigate the situation for a while, but nothing has truly solved my problem. I ordered TheraBreath after reading reviews and I was truly amazed that it actually worked for me. It tasted vaguely minty, and almost sort of hydrogen-peroxide-ey, but not awful. I swished a capful for a minute, then gargled another capful in the back of my throat for 30 seconds. For the rest of the day, I had no bitter taste in my mouth, and I asked my son to smell my breath, and he said "it smells like nothing." Wow. My harshest critic smelled nothing! Well worth it in my opinion.

I really wanted to love this product
If depression had a taste, it would be TheraBreath. I really wanted to love this product; while the initial gargle and swish-swashing of the mouthwash is rather pleasant, over the following hours it leaves my mouth with a hollow emptiness, like a naked, abandoned lover. Furthermore, it taints the taste of the foods I eat throughout the course of the day. Perhaps the wash clashes with my Toms of Maine toothpaste. I have yet to experiment with other brands.

It DOES work but side effects I can't tolerate
I debated on this review - on one hand, it DID work on bad breath/morning breath, completely eliminated it during my very few uses, though my breath is pretty average not a chronic issue of any kind. BUT all the reviews that talk about how it gives you a funny taste, water/tea/beverages in particular taste weird? Sadly those were very very true (for me.) I read the manufacturer's claim on their website that "it can take a week/ph balance of mouth adjusting" type explanation on why that happens (it is in their FAQ so obviously a significant number of people complain about this issue.) But I have some serious doubts that an oral rinse used for 90 seconds max even 2x a day should alter your taste buds that much for 24+ hours after use, even just during an adjustment period of a week, and some reviewers claim it goes on for days after stopping use. I searched through reviews looking for evidence that it resolves while continuing to use it as the manufacturer suggests, but didn't find any out of the ones I read, everyone gave it a shot from a day to a week and it didn't stop for them. **There might be people who had it resolve but I didn't find them myself.**I might ask my dentist her opinion but have no plans to continue to use this. I also tried the baking soda on a toothbrush while brushing suggested to help, and it didn't help. I used it the first day I got it, again that night, and then again the following morning (yesterday) and ALL day yesterday had the weird taste thing when drinking and sometimes while eating (less with food than water and tea when hugely noticeable.) As of this morning (over 24 hours after last use) still a slight alteration in how water tastes but it seems to be getting better than it was yesterday. Really hoping it is back to normal sometime today.I gave 2 stars because it DID work on breath, but with side effects most people wouldn't tolerate. While not everyone may face this side effect, know it is a roll of the dice since I didn't read anything about who might be more at risk for this, and you might want to consult your own dentist before trying it to get their professional opinion. One other note, and this is just marketing, but I don't like it when a product arrives with a little tag asking me to leave a 5 star review. I'll be honest I didn't read it to see if it also offered any coupons or discounted/free products for doing so (some do!) - that would have been the really bad part but I can't say what else the tag said as I just tossed it out with the packaging. I get that sellers want to encourage reviews and they hope they'll be positive, but so many of us count on the legitimacy of reviews in our research & buying decisions, and too often now there are worries about reviews being fake, influenced by free offers, overly positive AND too bashing/negative for that matter.Bottom Line: use it knowing what you might face (and that the seller suggests you should give it a week for that side effect to lessen which I wasn't willing to test since I pretty much hated drinking anything yesterday) but for the 3 times I did use it, the taste of the product itself was fine, slightly minty, didn't burn or sting, and I didn't have morning breath AT ALL that first morning I woke up after having used it nor any breath issues during the day.

Antibiotic Aftertaste, BUT Gets Rid of Tonsil Stones
I had to update my review from one star to five stars. I didn't like the aftertaste, so I stopped using it. However, it got rid of my tonsil stones that were caused by postnasal drip (I literally coughed them up the day or two after using this). I try to use it daily, which helps prevent tonsil stones from forming. When I go a long time without using it, I tend to develop tonsil stones again. But as soon as I begin using it again, they disappear.
