3M Scotch ATG 700 Adhesive Applicator, 1/2 in and 3/4 in wide rolls, Yellow

This is the same unit the professional picture framer uses where my wife has gotten pics done. Awesome adhesion and easy to use. Can't beat 3M when it comes to adhesives!

This ATG pew-pew is the absolute best thing I have ever used in my crafting. The only downsides is the size of it and that for the price I expected it to come with the tape for the dispenser. Aside that the performance, Quality, and the adhesion are all top of the line. Will definitely purchase again.

I attempted to use ATG tape without a dispenser, and it was an ugly, tedious process. Once I bought this dispenser it upped my game to fast, efficient, and accurate taping. This one works well and is easy to use.

I love using this applicator for putting down ATG tape, it is easy to use and works exactly as advertised. ATG can be applied off the roll by hand without an applicator but using one definitely makes life a lot easier. Although it works great and I enjoy using it for photo mounting and framing, it is excessively overpriced in my opinion. It is a lightweight, mostly plastic build which is a little shocking for the price. Even being light and plastic, I do not actually have an issue with the build quality, it does its job well and has been dependable so far, it should just be priced much lower for what it is. Luckily I found it from an Amazon seller with a much better price than full retail, so I am happy with that. However, I'm not sure I would pay the regular full retail price for it unless I absolutely needed it.

I received this 3M applicator a couple days ago and have already used it to attach backing paper to two framed paintings. Worked like a charm. No problems at all with tape getting fouled. Those who mentioned this probably didn't follow the very clear instructions on how to load the tape into the applicator, which is really easy to do. Applicator construction seems reasonably solid; certainly enough for what it's designed to do. I like the fact that it's adjustable for 1/2" and 3/4" wide tapes. And there is a spacer that's easy to remove or add that is needed for the 1/2" tape. Design is great. If you're mounting paper to the backs of framed pictures I'd recommend also the Logan Dust Cover Trimmer. It makes trimming the paper edges a snap.

It works well. Takes some practice to figure out how to load the tape correctly - they do a good job of explaining, but a tiny bit more clarity on which way to load the roll might help noobs.One small concern: the clear top opens up (to load the tape) via hinges on the top. These hinges are just flexible plastic, and I won't be surprised when they start to break after some use and flexing. Actual hinges (two parts, a pin, whatever) would be nicer, I think.Kinda surprising that it costs as much as it does, but a good tool costs money and is worth it in the end.

But there is a little learning curve to get the application done properly.I use it to attach backing to wooden frames, and the first time my hand wavered a little bit - enough so the adhesive was applied not in a straight line. But, I got the hang of it by the third job, and I’m very happy with the work.I’m glad I purchased it!

Easy to use and sturdy. Only con is installing the actual tape. Waste so much to start a roll and absolutely imposto figure out. Had to watch a YouTube tutorial.
