Good protection, but a few caveates that keep it from being great.
The Ultra Thin Clear Transparent Keyboard Cover for the Microsoft Surface is an environmentally friendly accessory for people who mostly use their surface pro in laptop form on a desk.Things I liked:+ Made partially of degradable raw material+ Fits my surface (New 2017 version) quite well+ Washable+ Quality feelThings I didn't like:- Not so thin and flexible that it does not hinder your ability to type quickly- While form fit, does not stay on the keyboard when mobile or not on a flat surface- The adhesive/tape provided proved to be quite cumbersome to use- It is recommended that you replace the keyboard cover every 6-8 monthsWhile the keyboard cover does do its job of keeping your keyboard safe from oil, dust, food, or anything else that may find itself attracted to your matte, sleek, and quite expensive keyboard cover, the thickness (although quite thin) mixed with the slightly rigidness of the silicon makes typing on your keyboard a bit cumbersome. The required pressure in order to activate key with a keystroke feels as though it actually doubles with the key cover on, more noticeable the faster you type often missing strokes on single keys that you hit with your smaller digits. The trade-off course is that you're keeping your keyboard cover clean, oil free, and the keys themselves protected from divots from your fingernails, which may be worth it. Worth noting is that it did feel a bit easier to type with the cover with prolonged use, the amount of pressure needed either decreasing as the silicon relaxes with use or getting used to typing with the cover being possible factors. The keyboard is made of "consumable" silicon which means the silicon is degradable and therefore environmentally friendly, however this does mean that you do need to replace this cover as it will degrade over time. The description on the box recommends that you replace the cover every 6-8 months. The big factor against this cover is that although it fits quite well on the keys, it does not stay on the keyboard and is removed/falls off quite easily. The directions on the box recommends that you apply the provided tape/adhesive strips to the keyboard if you "pick it up" often however, the provided adhesive/tape was nearly impossible to apply. I struggled removing both sides of the protective paper over the adhesive and the tape proved so thin and sticky, it instantly adhered to itself and wrinkled and eventually turned into a tiny ball of tape. Pre-cut, the tiny sticky rectangles all resisted application and ended up being discarded after multiple attempt to make them work. Although, being as sticky as they were it seemed like the type of tape/adhesive that would eventually melt on to the keyboard/cover and need to be removed via chemicals. When tested, even picking up the laptop to shift it to a new position or folding the cover backward to fit the cover on the back to use in tablet form, the cover folded over or fell off completely, sometimes without me noticing and only finding it on the ground somewhere else later. To me, this is kind of a deal-breaker as the purpose of the surface pro is to be mobile and dynamic in its use. Perhaps if the cover stayed on the keyboard slightly better with a better way to adhere it to the cover, or even a small thin folder to store it in when not in use, it would be easier to keep track of and more use-able.Overall, the key cover serves it purpose of protecting the keyboard, but misses its mark as it makes typing notably more cumbersome as well as literally falling behind on the dynamic form of having a surface pro, often falling off or folding over in transportation/transformation from laptop to tablet and vice-versa. If you can look past these caveats, however its most definitely be worth picking up for the price.

Great inexpensive product.
I like to take care of my electronics and so protecting my keyboard is important to me. This works well for me. Very happy.

Keyboard just better without a cover
The MS Surface 4 laptop has a great keyboard so I wanted to protect it. But unfortunately, the plastic cover, while serving its purpose, affected the functionality of the keys. I had to press much harder on the keys or I'd miss letters. It was just a pain and I've come to the conclusion that this keyboard works much better without any cover on it.

It's fine
This fits my keyboard, but doesn't stay down in the keys as well as other keyboard skins I have used. It's thinner than others I've tried which may contribute to the pickering. Hopefully with time is settles

Functional, But Takes Some Getting Used To
I bought this keyboard cover to protect my SP6 Type-Cover from becoming dirty/wet and getting crumbs/dust under the keys. This cover definitely serves its purpose and was a cheap alternative to allow me to get work done wherever I am and not worry about splashes or crumbs from food/drink. I haven't had any problems with the cover slipping or coming loose with the included tape, unlike some other reviews (although you can see the tape through the cover, but I don't mind since it's only noticeable if you're looking for it). I am a teacher and have had my students use the keyboard occasionally and it has survived the 3 weeks from purchase without any issues with replacing the tape, needing to be more thoroughly cleaned, or becoming damaged. I'm sure it will need to be replaced or cleaned eventually, but getting several weeks' worth of use without issue is worth it enough for me.The only thing that has taken some adjustment is it is a little more difficult to type because of the corners of the keys being more rigid because of the cover. The cover feels soft and is a different texture than the keys, so if you do a lot of typing it might take some getting used to. Granted, this could very well be because of the way I type, but I have had to adjust my typing so I avoid any missing letters in my work and emails. I have adjusted to it now for the most part and can type almost as though the cover isn't here. This definitely doesn't bother me much, though, as I'd rather adjust to using the protective cover than replace the whole Type-Cover if damaged/ruined.

Great product great price
This product has lasted over 5 months now and i would definitely recommend it to others that wish to be able to keep their Surface Pro keyboard clean from dust, dirt, and other microbes. I don't own and official surface pro keyboard I have the Fintie Backlit keyboard for the Pro 7 and the cover fits on this keyboard just fine. I prefer to watch media on my device and having this cover on while I am munching on snacks and drinking beverages is nice to know that there is a layer of protection on the keyboard. I love the fact that I have a Bluetooth keyboard because I can wipe it down and wipe the keyboard protector and it does exactly what it should which is keeping the keys from getting dirty or messy. It can be a bit snug typing as the cover does make the keys stiff but you do get a bit used to it so do keep this in mind. Otherwise its a great product and worth the price for a long lasting product such as a surface device.

Does what its intended to do.
Gives me a peace of mind that I won't have to worry about getting dirt and stuff inside my keyboard. Should prevent wear on my keys as well. Will definitely take time to get used to typing with it as it feels like it requires more force to type. I did wish it would stay on the keyboard since whenever I open it, the type cover would fall off the keyboard or would be sticking to my screen/screen protector.

Great type cover overall - requires securing or it falls off
Great keyboard cover and no concerns I noticed it for the first few days but I'm currently typing this review with it and don't notice it at all. It fits perfectly on my MS surface pro 4 type cover. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it falls off the keyboard if not secured. I cut thin strips of double sided tape and put that on the rim of the type cover and now it stays on very nicely and I don't have to worry about it falling off.

Good for protection, Bad for typing
Shipping was as expected and it arrived within two weeks. The cover works well if your primary goal is protecting keys and reducing noise. Personally, I found it too thick, hard to type on, less responsive, and a nuisance. My thinking is that surface keyboards are quite thin and the keys correspondingly shallow. The cover just sort of sits on top rather than forming around the keys and becoming one with the keyboard. It WILL NOT stay on without the included adhesives.

Muy práctico y sobre todo útil.
The media could not be loaded. Protege muy bien el teclado, evita que se ensucie con la grasa de los dedos, y es muy fácil de limpiar.

Falls off all the time.
It is nice and clear, but falls off all the time, there is no way to make it stay on securely, so if you ever flip your keyboard around the back of your Surface to use it as a tablet, the keyboard protector falls right off... kind of sucks.
