Perfect for 2-4 meals
I bought a instant pot a few months ago, I realized one time cooking one food is a little waste time, why don't I buy a steamer insert pans to cooking more at one time, same time to get more food! The day it arrived, I plugged it in my instant pot. My first meal was potato soup and rice.I was amazed at how easy and delicious it was to make this soup that would normally take a couple of hours. I put the rice in the first layer, and chopped the vegetables, added the seasonings and the liquid, threw those in the second layer, started the pressure cooker option, and in 20 minutes all I had to do was use my immersion blender to puree the soup, add some cheese, stir and it was ready to eat. AND the soup was every bit as good as my slower version that keeps me tied to the kitchen to stir and monitor until it's done. Usually make these need 20 minutes plus 20 minutes, but with this insert pot, just only 20 minutes get a full dinner! you are free to do other things such as harass your kids to get their homework done.My second recipe was lemon pepper chicken wings in the first layer. I browned the wings in a bit of butter, then added lemon pepper, salt, and 2 more tablespoons of butter. and mushroom gravy (no flour) pork chops in the second layer, Put on the lid, set the pressure cooker for 25 minutes, and out came the most delicious, fall-of-the-bone wings just loaded with flavor. The family went wild!I am also using this to reheat food since we don't use the microwave anymore and I'm finding that it seems easier and makes less of a mess than going stovetop. That's a pretty long review for a first-timer but I am so enthusiastic about this product that I just had to share.

So handy!
I bought this for my daughter but ended up keeping it. I love my instant pot and already use it 3-4x/week. More and more, we are loving our food, but are also having to time steaming or grilling our veggies separately and/or setting up the rice cooker or another pot for cooking potatoes, etc for the sides. These have been an awesome way for me to do my main dish and sides without having multiple cookers going in my kitchen. Afterall, the whole point is to use the Instant pot to keep it easy, am I right? It took me a couple tries to get the timing right. Not only do you have to time the two different cooking times, but you have to account for the fact that the bottom item is cooking faster/hotter. I am getting better with the timing, but we have had some awesome short ribs and mashed potatoes and also curry and rice :) My daughter still wants her pans because she wants to make cheesecake in her instant pot… guess I will have to get another set !

A must-have instant pot accessory!
I got my instant pot for Christmas and found tons of recipes online, but only tried a few because I just didn’t see the big advantage of it versus a crockpot. But then I saw these and I know what I was missing!! I put meat in one and veggies in another - it was perfect! (And not like a crockpot meal) Next I’m trying a cheesecake recipe I found!

What you see is what you get
What you see is what you get. Just what I thought it would be. Would have given it 5 stars. But a little bit of water still gets into the food from the pressure cooker. Next time I will try to put some aluminum foil over the lid and see if that works better. How can you cook a cake if water leaks in?
