generally satisfied with the quality and value
In agreement with other reviews, the cut of these pants is considerably over generous with the exception being the waist. I needed to go up from my regular waist size to find a proper waist fit. However, in doing so, the rest of the pants fit quite large and baggy. It's a work pant, not business or office slacks. Washing & drying should help remediate some of the sizing issue. Overall though, generally satisfied with the quality and value.Side Note:REALLY would like to see Carhartt products made here in the US and NOT off shore. The reason I chose to buy US made goods when possible and regardless if it costs a little more, is to keep our money and jobs here, and keep US workers employed and able to provide for their families. Keep Carhartt US MADE!!!

Used to be loyal to the brand
Carhart once set the industry standard for durable pants in a construction work environment. I worked construction over 15 years, have been inspecting for over 22 years and Carharts had always been my go-to brand for pants that would last. Every year I buy anywhere from 4-6 new pair of pants, but each year, the material gets thinner and thinner. My most recent purchase left me completely disappointed. The pant material is now no heavier than a pair of regular old blue jeans. The knees of these Carharts now become see-through in 3-4 months. In the good ole' days Carharts used to be as thick as canvas and wore like iron. Now they are as expensive as heck and don't last like they used to. What happened Carhart? You used to be cool. I guess I will have to consider someone elses firehose pant to find something that will last again.

Check for tags!
When ordering 4 pairs of pants in the same style, from the same manufacturer, you'd expect that they all fit about the same. These tan pants are a full size bigger than the other three I recieved. When my girl asked to look at the tag (apparently not a ploy to get me out of my pants, sad to say) to see what size they were, we were both surprised to find no tag! Is this a case of order fufillment throwing in a larger size and removing the tag? Are these actually Carhartt? The materials and workmanship appear to be the same as the other pairs. Pehaps this is just another example of the downside of off-shoring American Quality Workpersonship?

Nope
I've used other Carhartt products before and liked them plenty. Their "Quick Duck" jacket (or something like that) is the best work jacket I've ever worn. However, my first issue with these pants was the fitting. I ordered 33x30 - a measurement I copied from all other pants I own. The waist was unwearably tight, and the butt and thighs were also uncomfortably snug. Considering these are advertised as work pants, I assumed they would run normal sizing, or maybe a bit large. Now, I am 5'10'' and 185lbs. Pretty normal build, if a bit more stocky/muscular than the average male. I don't have any real fat lower than my waistline, so the tightness there was confusing. I can't see myself bending and squatting in them ever.My other issue was the construction. There were over a dozen loose/uncut threads all over. While this is annoying, it's nothing I can't fix with a knife in 2 minutes. The real problem was the button hole on the waist. It wasn't so much a purposefully stitched spot for the button to go as it was a cut in the material with loose strands everywhere that would unravel after a week (think holey jeans from the 90's). That would take me 10-20 minutes to fix with needle and thread, and it would look terrible and probably tear out every few months. All in all, buy your work gear in person, like I knew I should have when I ordered this.

Now we all like a little bit of room to breathe
A couple things to mention here. First, holy moly are they stiff when you first get them. They are made from a tough fabric and it's no secret. I've washed them twice and they are still stiff. Used downy in the wash and dryer balls in the dryer. I've worn the a couple times and they loosen up slightly at the end of the day, but let it be known that there is an extended break-in period for these. Second, the cut is weird. I'm typically a 32x32 but after reading some reviews that they may shrink a little (and having some old pairs shrink on me from before) I chose to go up a size in the waist. I tried them on when I first got them and they fit snug or about just right which my other jeans that are 32x32 do not fit any tighter than usual so I don't think I'm getting any fatter, at least I'm telling myself that. Anyway, the waist fits ok, but the crotch area is huge. I dont know what to call it so let's say the "pinch area" between your legs where the front meets the back is down to about mid thigh. Now we all like a little bit of room to breathe, but this is ridiculous. It's too much and it feels awkward throughout the day. Even when I squat down, I feel like there is too much room and it feels like my fly is always open. That being said, I'd still buy them again, but I wold also keep an eye out for other options. The price point for a pair of work pants that wont tear in a few months is good and there are a lot of pockets. The pants feel well made and over time will probably break in nice. I haven't noticed any shrinking yet and I wash on cold and dry warm. My green ones have started to fade after 2 washes and visible fade marks are I would say out of acceptable range on the back pockets. Not something I'm overly concerned with, buit they are new and they should stay looking new for more than 2 washes.

Strong pants, tight fit.
Can’t beat Carharrt. They aren’t the most comfortable pants in the world, but they take a beating.Order a size up, at least. Waist is not as advertised (and I know I’m a fairly heavily framed fella so i order a size up already)

Great Pant
Durable pant! I have been wearing these to work for a few months now and they seem to hold up well. Only concern is the waist has shrunk quite a bit. I would suggest getting something a little bigger in the waist.

To small in waist.
Super fast shipping, but the waist is probably 2 sizes smaller than it says. I wear a lose 36 and went with a 38 to be safe, but they fit like a 33 or 34.

Mala compra
Las tallas no son o están reducidas. Nunca me quedaron y los colores no son, varían en tono. No son baratos y por lo mismo me arrepiento de haberlos comprado
