Artificial Intelligence with Python

Exceptional book! outstanding reference. Buy this book to build ML code NOW.
I don't recall ever giving any book 5 stars before. This book deserves it! So full of short snippets of fact and code. Doesn't waste time, just gets you working. The title suffers from the same marketing hype all books in this field does - the incorrect use of "Artificial Intelligence", when it really means "Machine Learning". Doesn't matter (there is no, true AI yet...). Good study on building feature engineering pipelines.

Organized and Engaging
I love the format. Each chapter starts with telling you what you'll learn in that chapter, then teaches, then recaps what you learned in the chapter. It also has an easy, approachable style that covers highly technical topics in real-world terms. If you're working in AI, want to work in AI, or want to know more about AI, this is a great book to read!

Good Introduction
This book is a good introduction to AI packages available for Python, although it is not a tutorial or set of training exercises. It's a bit unfair that I had to read straight through, but if I had more time I should have experimented with wack library in turn.

Maybe the best Python book
Great book, really helps to start from zero and build one of the most important skills we will all need in the future

Easy to follow, covers many topics under AI
The book is written in simple language and it covers many topics which falls under the branch of AI, neatly coupled as different chapters. It takes the reader through the theory and then gives code examples . The code can also be downloaded from Packt website. This learning by doing approach is very effective .Some of the chapters are 'Creating Intelligent Agents with Reinforcement Learning, 'Building Games with Artificial Intelligence'' etc.Having read a lot of blogs on AI online, my knowledge was fragmented. Reading this book helps one understand how everything works together. Importantly, it helps you to start coding on your own by giving simple examples which familiarizes you with the necessary libraries and code syntax.- Anju

Median, Not Mean
Am about 1/3 of the way through it. General impression is that it's a decent overall presentation that's not very rigorous. It's always disturbing when a technical book messes up basic terminology. From page 79 on imputing missing values:Calculate the mean for the full dataset and replace the missing value with the meanCalculate the average for the full dataset and replace the missing value with the averageMean and average are calculated the same way in this context. From the subsequent description, it's clear that they meant "median" when they said "mean".

Great book covering real world usecase(s)
Double Disclaimer: First, I was given a review copy for my honest review. I promise to be 100% honest in how I feel about this book, both the good and the less so. Second, I work for the same company as author Alberto Artasanchez. This book is really very amazing to read, which is very informative about real-world AI applications. I'm very grateful to have this book and provide my feedback. A lot of important real-world uses using AI and its simple ways to approach and solve them is really good. This is a great book for learning AI concepts. It is indeed a very informative book. best book I read so far. simple and easy to understand.

Misleading cover/title, erroneous code, otherwise interesting and educational.
While the contents of the book are fairly interesting and comprehensive, I feel disappointed. The main reason for the 2 star rating is the fact that ONLY A SMALL FRACTION OF THE BOOK ACTUALLY WORKS WITH TENSORFLOW 2.0. Out of 60+ scripts and examples that the book covers, TENSORFLOW is imported A TOTAL OF 3 TIMES!I understand that AI is a complex topic that requires a lot of build up and context, but one simply can not put a name of a Python library in bold letters on a cover of a book and then spend 1 out of 23 chapters actually working with the said library, while dedicating the other 22 chapters to overview, summary and PRIMARILY OTHER PYTHON LIBRARIES THAT ARE NOT EVEN MENTIONED ON THE COVER. its simply absurd.I can not help but feel that the cover misrepresents the product for the sake of advertisement. TensorFlow is the most well known AI library in Python and is far more eye catching than Scikit-learn for example; a library that is featured far more extensively throughout the book.Additionally, the book and the downloadable content slightly differ from each other and at times both contain errors that require troubleshooting, which always leaves me wondering if there is something I or the Python Interpreter did not catch. The heart of the content can be immersive and educational, but the erroneous code feels lazy and unpolished. This book is still a good read if you are looking to learn about Artificial Intelligence, but if you are looking for exactly what the cover advertises, look elsewhere.

I would recommend another book
The book does give a good overview of different AI types and algorithms, but I find that the book requires quite a lot of prior knowledge and quite a lot of studying on the side to be able to follow the content. The content lacks flow and the examples are often arbitrary and the results and potential applications not fully followed through. The two authors have different styles of both coding and writing which could have been aligned better. The book has too many mistakes as this is a second edition. Honestly, I would recommend another book on the subject if asked.

Worthless buy
A redundant book with no proper detailing if concepts. There is better explanation of these concept on the document section of the the individual tool sites. Waste of money.

Very poor explanations
I bought this book, and went to the chapter on games, looking for explanation and code for minimax and alpha-beta pruning algorithms. The explanations are no more than a few sentences long and give no detail on the algorithm steps (or even any diagrams of how they search tress). To use the algorithms they import a library that implements them, but do not discuss how that library uses or implements them.I returned the book for a refund.

Chapter length
I feel like the chapter length is the right length. I can read a whole chapter whenever i got some free time and do not worry about finishing reading it later.
