Great Light
I have had many 4/7 lights over the years and they have been great; all of them are still working after random hiatus. This light is no different. The main differences I noticed immediately were the new clip style (I feel I like it more than the old ones, very strong) and UI. The UI was one of the reasons I got it. I like that it can be programmed to different modes. I usually like low/med/hi and I have this one set to that, but if I ever want max lumens, I just have to double click the tailcap.Very easy to use and program, great output for 2xAA batteries (non-lithium, I have many other Li-Ion 4/7, wanted something that could use more common batteries), comes with snap on tailcap cover so it can do tailstands. All in all, I can’t find anything bad to say about it!

The perfect light for my use so far!
So I bought this because I wanted a light capable of running on 2 AA batteries, with a nice light temperature/high CRI, and bright enough to light things up 50-100 feet away but not be obnoxiously bright. It does all of these things very well. The light came with 2 NiMH batteries and 4Sevens said it is also okay to use Energizer Ultimate Lithiums (just not Alkaline or rechargeable lithiums). Runs plenty long on 2 NiMH, hours and hours even on high. It's not going to win any contest for "brightest LED light" but it's plenty bright for actual day to day use. The beam is fixed with a wide spotlight in the middle and flood glow around it, optimized for medium distance. I would describe the color as pure white - icy cool white, but the CRI is decent. Build quality is nice. My only complaint so far is that the modes are overcomplicated. I never know what brightness level I'm going to get the next time I click the switch. You can change the settings but it's all based on ridiculous switch clicking schemes: click the switch 10 times fast, then click it 4 more times to cycle through settings, then click it off for 5 seconds to select a program, etc.

Perfect workhorse for daily use
I believe that this is THE edc light. Amazing value for the money, the fit and finish is top notch, very useable compromise between throw and spread, beautiful color. Extensive and practical selection of programs. For those of you who struggle with programming (as I did), the instructions fail to mention that you have to hold in the button in on the 10th 1/2 press to enter programming mode- from there everything works as advertised.Jason and his team hit it out of the park with this light. I enthusiastically recommend it. Keep Power has a nice 16650 available on Amazon with a little more capacity than the battery offered with the light as well if interested.

Not waterproof
This is a terrible flash light! The beam is weak and the modes wear out such that it will only operate on bright. The lens is not straight and distorts the beam unevenly. You get about 14 minutes of light before the brightness starts to drop. The seals are flimsy and I doubt this is waterproof

Cool light, very useable, unique UI
Flashlight has a very qualified and durable feel to it. Little pricey but I suspect the light will provide years of service. Tail switch has great feedback, took a few tries to learn how to switch modes. Tint has some green but not bad, may try a filter.

Very disappointing light
I've had plenty of Quark lights. I still have some, I really like the older UI (user interface) they used to have, where tight head was Mode 1 and loose head was Mode 2. It was easy to program them. This new light has a horrid UI, I still haven't figured it completely out. And there's no way it's 500 lumens, unless I'm so stupid I can't even figure out how to activate "burst" mode. I would return the light, but I threw out the box with the packing slip and return auth. I've bought over a hundred flashlights in past 10 years, this is only the second one that I was so thoroughly disappointed in.

probably good bugout light but no features and low power
Pro: build quality!! clip, "feel" in hand, good duration with 2 AA batteries, configurable modesCon: simple UI for price of light, hard to get turbo but only lasts 30 seconds which is silly because the light barely takes on any heat with low voltage AA batteries, low output, no real moonlight, lots of configurable modes but many not very useful. You can buy a decent deep carry clip and a piece to attach to the rear of the light to make it tailstand but not cheap for an already expensive light.Best use case: bugout bag, emergency light
