Lasko Oscillating Tower Fan, Remote Control, Timer, 4 Quiet Speeds, for Bedroom, Home Office and Kitchen, 38", White, T38400

Let me start off by saying this fan is AWESOME!! Here’s why: I have a bedroom that gets very little airflow from our AC vents so while the rest of the house is cool—even downright cold on other floors, my bedroom is stifling. Miserable! I can NOT sleep when I’m hot (I like to sleep in 70 degrees, which is the temp of the rest of our air conditioned home at night, yet my bedroom clocks in between 80-84 at bedtime. This Godforsaken room just won’t cool. I think I’d probably want to sell this house if it weren't for the Lasko Hybrid fan! I already own a Lasko Hybrid fan very similar to this that I bought a couple years ago and it’s been fantastic! So powerful and cool. So when I wanted to add another one to cool the other side of my bed on these hot summer nights, I discovered they no longer make that particular model (though I honestly can’t imagine why they’d cancel such a great product). After some serious research, this seemed to be the most similar/comparable fan I could find and I was almost scared away by the lack of reviews available and the less than perfect number of stars it scored. I’m o glad I didn’t let that scare me away!! I trusted it would be like my old Lasko Hybrid fan and it doesn’t disappoint!!Now, I don’t love the cheap looking black and white 80’s esthetic but the strong cooling power is ALL there and that’s what I’m desperate for! As I mentioned, I use them in my bedroom and I like that the fan’s height clears my very tall bed. This fan is admittedly a little on the louder side (which is why some have given it a lower star rating, but I’ve never seen a TRULY powerful fan that’s not noisier. I question if it’s even possible to get that strong wind power without ummmm... the wind?? Which makes noise as it blows? In my case, it’s a trade I’m more than willling to make. I only use them at bedtime and I don’t mind the white noise at all. In fact, I think it probably helps as the continuous, ambient noise drowns out any disturbances. If you’re looking for a fan that blows powerful, cool air, this fan won’t disappoint!! The fact that you can get this power from a tower fan is impressive to me.Oh, and honorable mentions go to the wide oscillating function and the timer options!

This thing will rattle paintings and even heavy mirrors hanging on your walls and can be felt from 20 feet away. It is certainly not quiet, but I don't think any powerful fan is quiet. It is worth the money to me as person without AC living in a place that is regularly above 90° Fahrenheit.

This Lasko Tower Fan is even better than the one I had for over 10 years. The design is even sleeker-very attractive, 8 hour timer-longer time frame, 4 speeds=1 speed higher than my old one, and the rotating like before. I believe this one is quieter than the previous one and I feel the air is smoother - if that is possible.I got this just in time with the summer appearing to be heating up. I am very happy with this purchase.

It would have gotten 5 stars if it were the color I prefer. I have an older Lasko bladeless (well blades not rotating in the tower itself) tower fan that stopped oscillating. I wanted the style with the squirrel cage (fan) in the bottom of the tower. I have always appreciated a squirrel cage type fan for air movement over a visible fan blade type. I tried a model that had a motorized fan in the tower but that did not provide the air stream I needed. So I found this one almost identical to my 10 year old one and bought it used in new condition from Amazon (used). I like that ability with Amazon if its not an item that everyone will see. So, I have oscillation again at half the cost and since it's not on display, it's for my bedroom, this fits my needs greatly. I will always look at Amazon used, as new, if it fits my use.

This fan is awesome! I feel like when it’s on the Highest “4” setting, I actually feel COLD air coming out, like literally “air conditioned” air and it has made a huge difference in my kitchen. It’s always the hottest room in the house because for some reason there is only 1 vent in there. However I will say I’ve tried the lower settings “1,2, and 3” and the air doesn’t feel cool, it feels room temperature and doesn’t cool my kitchen at all for some reason. So I always have it set for the highest setting, which is “4”. It’s is a bit loud but if I had to choose noise over my kitchen being hot, I’d choose noise 100 times over.

My bedroom gets ridiculously hot during the summer and I have spent so many months finding the perfect fan to keep me cool at night. I’ve tried two other tower fans, and they were just whispers of air that didn’t provide any real breeze to keep me cool. I purchased a lasko pedestal fan before this and was thoroughly disappointed by its airflow. So weak! Albeit it was noiseless and great for night time. So on came this fan! First of all, I just wanna say I had a previous version of this model before that I gave away to my brother (what a mistake, I loved it even then). Since that older model it has been given a new paint job, modernized design, and 1 extra speed level. I must say this newer version is a lot more stylish and the white color fits my room very well.The airflow on this thing is massive and much stronger than the previous pedestal fan of the same maker that I bought before. The blower squirrel cage at the bottom sucks up the cooler air that resides on the floor and disperses it throughout the room in great volume. Out of all the fans I’ve purchased this one actually BLOWS.The only things I would change are giving it a wider oscillation and the fact that it is pretty loud. But sometimes we have to sacrifice noise level for power.

Really pleased with this tower fan! It's a little pricey but I think it's been worth it for my family. I bought it to replace another tower fan and wow, what a huge difference. This Lasko fan is rather powerful, the remote control is so convenient (really didn't think I'd use it that much but it's so handy I've started to use it all the time) and it's not too loud, the noise level is pretty good. I've never had a fan that was completely silent so I didn't expect that from this one. The sound it emits is not distracting or irritating so I feel like it's a non issue. I love that there's a timer on it and that it has 4 speeds (the fourth speed really, uh... blows) and oscillates. I'd recommend this.

This tower fan was really loud even at the lowest setting and should not be used for the bedroom at all unless you want to feel like you’re sleeping on an airplane. On the other hand, it was very powerful and would definitely be worth it should someone require this in the summer outside of the bedroom.Also the remote control didn’t come with AAA batteries which it should for this price point in my opinion.
