ATP Automotive B-41 Automatic Transmission Filter Kit

The gasket seems good, I torqued to specs . The filter was maybe 1/4 " short , struggled to make it work , gave up , cleaned and inspected old screen , reused it with the included O ring.

In spite of claim, filter does not fit 1956 Thunderbird transmission.

Product unusable. The two holes are too close together by a 1/2 inch as shown in the picture. Also FYI, I purchased another one from summit racing and it was not good either from the same manufacture. Ultimately, I ordered one through MAC restoration part and was able to get one that fit perfectly. They are the only people I found that sell this filter from another company besides ATP.

The filter included was about 3/16ths of an inch too short to fit my 64 T Bird. Same design, just smaller. Maybe it is for an FX or FMX trans, but it does not fit my MX. The gasket fit fine, and my old filter wasn't too bad, so I cleaned it up and reused it. I was in the trans for a shift linkage issue, not for the express purpose of an oil change.

Gasket was quality, as was the filter-except that the input and output holes didn't line up with the ports in the transmission (off by about 1/16"). Had to stretch the filter to line the port chases up. I would have rated 5 stars for this purchase if not for that.

DO NOT BUY this kit!! The gasket is perfect but filter is WAAAAAY off. Improper dimensions so does not fit! Wish I could post a picture- holes are easily 5/16” off.

Filter holes did not line up and had disposed of old filter. It's just a screen so really no need to replace. Gasket lacked the 3rd hand bolt holding ability that was in description. Gasket fit MX cruise o matic transmission very well.

Filter looked to be exactly like the one to be replaced, but the measurement between the two 'holes' is slightly shorter than the one to be replaced. This causes the fine screen to begin to rip when trying to stretch to fit.

Filter was garbage, 1/4 short. Holes for the tubes were out by 1/4 inch absolutely useless
