Works! No Irritation!
My girl’s diapers wouldn’t stay up, so I reached out to a friend who runs a special needs & senior dog rescue. She immediately sent me a link to this listing! And I’m so glad she did, because these suspenders are perfect. No metal clips to cause irritation, which is great! They actually don’t require much tension at all to stay on. The suspenders hardly touch her neck, but it’s enough to keep her diaper in place without hurting her sensitive skin. Couldn’t be happier with these. They cost more than any of the other options I was looking at, but I think they’re the superior product. My dog doesn’t even seem to notice them.

A must-buy for dachshunds in diapers!
Applesauce is a dachshund/rat terrier/shih tzu mix with a weirdly shaped body and zero waist. Without these, her diaper would just slide down and right off because she's shaped like a sausage, but these suspenders did the trick! Easy to put on and she seems comfortable. We had no problems with the velcro losing its grip (just make sure to fasten it to itself when washing.)My main concern with these suspenders before buying was that they'd be uncomfortable around her neck, but we just pulled them down a little further to be around her chest instead, and they didn't budge! She was annoyed that she had to wear clothes but these suspenders didn't seem to make her any itchier than anything else we tried, and they worked perfectly to keep her diaper on!

This is the best solution for my 3-legged male dog!
I have an elderly dog who has both urinary and fecal incontinence. He wears a disposable belly band as well as a disposable bottom diaper. He also has only one hind leg. You can imagine that it's difficult to keep a diaper on the bottom of a dog with one hind leg. These suspenders work so well!I put on his belly band, then the other diaper and then the suspenders. I just put the velcro part of the suspenders to his diaper and it stays on. He moves around quite a bit for an elderly dog and they haven't detached, now been using this for a week.I wish I would have bought these sooner!

Well made but there is a difference for male/female dog "diapers" and how to use strap
I am pleased - it is a good product, quality elastic and plastic slides to adjust sizing. The tabs are long enough to get a good grip on the doggie diaper, and worked well for me the two times I've used it so far.My only comment is that the hook and loop design (Velcro) includes a smoother side (loop) and the scratchy side (hook). The tabs or belt ends that attach to the dog diaper to keep it in place have a leather-like surface on the exterior and hook on the inside. Male dog wraps are made with hook side on the underside of the band, and soft loop side on top. When I wrap the band, soft covers hook for firm fit. But I need to turn the belt over, so that the smooth leather-like side faces down and the hook side faces up.I know it sounds confusing, and I hope I am explaining this clearly! What I think would work really great for all customers would be to have hook on one side, loop on the other. That would allow us to have more options for girl diapers and boy bands.Thank you - I am glad I purchased this product, as I have a male Italian Greyhound who is a big marker. So glad he cannot slip the bands any longer.

Back rollers may be able to squirm out of straps!
I’m on the fence. First few times I used this it worked perfectly. Then within a week I noticed the Velcro starting to lose its stickiness. I’d find the strap randomly on the floor somewhere in the house. So I learned quickly that it is important to make sure you clean the Velcro every day so not to get a build up of lint and such. After cleaning out the lint, the Velcro is much stronger, but this morning I found a naked foster pup laying next to his diaper with the strap still attached to it! I’m not sure how he was able to manage this. But he squirmed his way out of it. On the plus side the Velcro held onto the diaper despite him doing a squirmy wiggle dance on his back; that usually slides him right out of his diaper. Thankfully throughout the day he’s pretty good at keeping the straps and diaper in place. The straps definitely help to keep the diaper from sliding off. As long as there is not any lint build up. My 12 yr old male foster dog also seems to be fairly comfortable wearing this. It’s not choking him or constricting any movement. He’s a stocky,15 lb Maltese Doxie (Moxie). He’s quite long and the straps fit well. I was worried the strap might not be long enough, but it was. I like that it is adjustable as well. He needs to lose a couple pounds so it’s nice to know the strap will adjust with him. The strap is well made. I purchased the brighter colors because they are easier to find and spot around the house. I only gave three stars because I’m not sure how these will hold up over time, and the fact that it is possible for dogs to slip out of the strap in the middle of the night with some effort.

Finally something that works!
This is so easy to use… the key is getting the right sized diapers! Our 12 year old French bulldog started getting incontinent the past year. We tried everything… because she doesn’t have a tail we had to find the perfect thing. Other solutions seemed great but they were too complicated to deal with multiple times a day.. others worked but only if she didn’t get up and walk around 🙄. These are everything! Easy to use, quick to use, comfortable for her, and hold the diaper!! The Velcro part is the most genius. The clip ones are just another step to deal with.. this just slaps right down on the diaper no problems, no messing with clips, no messing with hooks… thank you for saving our house!!

Probably not for a male dog diaper
I’m guessing this is meant to be used for female dog diapers only. I tried using it on 3 different sizes of male dog diapers and my corgi got out of the harness each time. I’m guessing: (1) the harness probably works better w a female diaper that has distinct Velcro for each part, whereas a male diaper is just one big Velcro patch; and (2) my corgi had short little legs so he was able to wiggle out of this pretty easily despite my attempts to tighten the strap. Alas, Back to browsing amazon for a solution to my dog’s peeing…
