I rang these each time I took the puppy outside. She was doing it on her own in a short amount of time. Recently during puppy school, the trainer was showing them to some that had never seen them. As soon as she rang them, my pup immediately ran to the gate 😂

Our 2 puppies use these bells to ask to go out every time. Our 10 year old lab even uses them I'd he can't get Our attention with his usual methods.

Favorite potty training aid. Helps a puppy get the hang of associating ringing the bell with going outside & then potty. Oldest pup is 51/2years old & still have & use the bells from potty training her. Needed a another set for the set up of a new house. Using with our 13 week old Goldendoodle puppy & he’s getting it quickly. Only had a couple of accidents since we got him. He still rang the bell, just didn’t quite wait to get outside. You won’t regret getting these to potty train with. No barking to go out, just a pleasant ringing of the bells.

I had never seen a dog ring a bell to go outside before, but once I heard about it, I knew it was something I wanted to train our puppy to do. I bought this a couple of weeks before Greyson came home with us, and started "training" right from the start. Even though we were initially carrying him outside to go potty, we would ring the bell ourselves, and say "ring the bell" every time. After about 3 weeks of being home, he rang it for the first time on his own. He was in the living room with us, and he was acting a bit weird (you start to recognize the signs of when they have to go!!), so I asked if he needed to go out, and he went straight to the door and rang the bell!!! He had been ringing it for a few days before that, but I think it was more to play with it. If your puppy does this, I would recommend that, even if they are just playing with it, especially in the beginning, anytime they touch the bell, take them outside so they can really make the association between the bell and going out. I will say that now at 7 months, Greyson definitely abuses the system, and rings it whenever he wants to just go outside. But if I tell him no (cos I know he doesn't have to go), he will walk away from it. It's quite funny as you can tell how badly he has to go by the way he rings it. Sometimes it will just be a little nudge with the nose, and a tiny ring, and others he will push the bell all around so its ringing like mad. He's very persistent haha.I would like to caveat this review by explaining that he did not have constant access to the bell, and that's maybe something we should have done differently. Since he was still potty training, he spent about 90% of his time gated in the kitchen, so he could not ring the bell even if he wanted to. I'm sure others would have this training completed much sooner than 3 weeks if they make sure the pup can always access the bell.Definitely recommend. This is a fun and easy thing to teach your dog, and it helps immensely with potty training. Also sure to get a few laughs of delight from your guests when your puppy rings the bell. ;)

A straightforward, useful product for training your dog and making your life a bit easier.To be clear, these are just bells on a ribbon. That's it. That's all they need to be, but it's not like you are buying some miracle product--you still need to do the work of actually training your dog to use them. That said, training proved reasonably simple and most dogs should be able to figure out a way to hit, bump, or tap the bells to get them to ring. The bells seem to be at an appropriate height for most dogs to use, and while the included ribbon is obviously not at all chew proof, it is certainly strong enough to be constantly knocked about by a dog.My only small complaint is that they might have made the bells a bit bigger or put a few more of them on in order to make the sound a bit louder. While some dogs might knock the heck outta these things and make a racket, I feel like the average dog just bumping them doesn't make the bells ring quite loud enough to be heard from more than one room away. This isn't a huge issue, but certainly one to be aware of.Overall I am satisfied with this product and can comfortably recommend giving it a try.NOTE: Unless you want the bells ringing every time you open your front/back door, I suggest hanging them on a hook or knob close to the door, such as a closet door, which is what I did. It cuts down on the ringing significantly, and won't confusing the training of your dog every time you open the front/back door to go outside without the pooch.

My original Poochiebell was a higher quality and could be adjusted as each bell had snaps. The ribbon was thicker and lasted almost 15 years. I doubt this one is as durable but it does the trick. My 15 yr old dog has taught the younger dogs how to use the doorbell for outside potty breaks.

The product is well made and looks like it would be durable. The idea is good but apparently my 2 dogs are dum-dums. Despite my consistent efforts, all they will do is look at the bells and politely decline.

I was having trouble potty training my Havanese puppy and another owner recommended these- thank goodness they did! What a life saver! She caught on within a day or two! I can’t explain it but they worked for us so well! I highly recommend you try them for potty training your new puppy

It took a little time for my 12 week old puppy to understand how and when to use this. I found a couple of videos on youtube invaluable for training tips and the cream cheese tip was the one that finally cracked it for her.Now (some months on) she just jingles everytime she needs to go out and the only time we've had any accidents is when we don't get to the door quickly enough - which as she's only 7 months is bearable.if you have a puppy or dog who doesn't seem to know how to let you know when they want to go out I really do recommend this and don't give up - it does take a lot of repetitions of you jingling each time you open the door for it to sink in - but once it does - it works for life. (according to my friend who recommended this to me)

Having bought these and the cheaper versions (with more bells on) the bells on these are a far more superior quality with a louder ring. More expensive (probably pay extra re import because from USA) but worth it for a main/noisier living area. Look nice too!

Amazing. These bells have definitely helped toilet train my puppy. We have them by the back door and she now knows to touch the bells to ring them to be let out. Cannot believe how quickly she learnt. Would definitely recommend, but you do have to take the puppy out every time they touch the bells so they understand their cause and effect.

Nice item and good quality...Thought this read as 2 sets of bells considering the price against others of very similar quality. But my mistake after re reading for a third time. Overall very expensive for what it is, much cheaper available elsewhere. Could by 2 sets for less.

My puppy has finally got the hang of these bells after a couple of months use. She does ring them to just go out and play also, but doesn't get rewarded for that so am hoping she will get to know they are just for toilet time!
