Jonard Tools PT-300 Voltage Protected Coax Cable Wire Tracer

Had to sort out, rerun and label multiple RG6 cables following construction at my home. This tester saved me lots of time and made my job much easier. Rugged metal casing with a nice heft but small enough to slip easily into your pocket or tool pouch. Even the threads on the barrel components feel solid and smooth. Pocket clip is a nice handy addition. Comes with everything needed to go right to work, including a fresh AAA (tested at full power) battery and F-Type Female to Female Coaxial Barrel Coupler Adapter Connector. Audible tone was heard from basement to second floor of home with no problem. Not overly loud but at a frequency that stands out clearly from the background noises. LED works as advertised for visual confirmation of short or splitter in the line. There's a short (2 min) YouTube video for more info. Great toner! I work as a technician for Spectrum so I use this daily. I've purchased at least 4 other toners before this one and this is by far my favorite. It lights up to tell me if there is a short or splitter connected. The piece that makes the sound screws into the bottom so it's darn near impossible to lose if you put it back as soon as you're done (my biggest problem is always losing the pieces). Another issue I've had is false positives from other toners, they'll say that the line I am choosing is correct but it's not. This one doesn't have that problem at all. It emits a high pitch beep when you find the line. I only wish there was a way to do more than one line at a time, you have to move it per line. But that's not too big of an issue. I'd definitely purchase this again :)

Great product. Haven't had any issues with this toner. The coloring does start to chip/fade over time but I don't use a toner for its looks. The toner has helped me tone lines out over 200 feet. The speaker is nice and loud. The only thing that I dislike about any pocket toners is that the center conductor can get bent or the outer rings can get deformed and break off if your not careful. I have learned to put a barrel in the middle so it doesn't do that. Easy to use as well. Unscrew speaker from the bottom. Place the toner on one end of a cable you want to identify. Go to where all your cables are at and put the cable into the speaker and if its the right one it'll start to beep. Be aware that usually these types of toners don't go through splitters or multiple splices in cable lines. Meaning it wont always beep at the other end.

I kiss the hand who’s do this tracer. I have few similar and they don’t work on 100 feet. This is one find a cable at building from 10 floor at 1 floor in cable room if i can put 10 stars i do it

Found my un-labeled cable wire in 10 seconds. FIVE stars for that. Took away one star because there were no instructions related on how to insert the AAA battery i.e. which side is positive or negative.Note to Jonard - Just add a small + or - sign where all the other stuff is written and add this to your video also. No big deal but would help people save some time.

So I have a job working in gov housing and we have the local cable/ internet company trying to trace coax cables and they were unable to locate them from box to rooms so they called us for assistance I was able to locate and fix what they couldn’t with some trouble shooting and process of elimination…. I then decided to purchase this tracer to make my job a little easier since it looks like they are going to call up us to do the jobThis tracer is simple and fast to use and it gets the job done

Very easy to use and immediately made it easy for me to identify what cable went to what room from the old cable box. Small quibble but the instructions aren't worded very well but its such a straightforward device it's not a big deal.

Small , compact and a must have tool . I've been so pleased with it , saves me time and money by being able to test the cable too see if it working or not .

Das Prüfgerät zeigt sehr zuverlässig Kurzschlüsse in coax kabeln an . was mich allerdings sauer macht ist, dass keine Bedienungsanleitung dabei ist. Man muss alles auf Youtube anschauen. Es gibt auch online keine deutsche Bedienungsanleitung.Es wird auch per ups versendet. Leider ist unser ups Fahrer eine ziemliche Katastrophe. Er stellt die Ware nicht mal zu sondern liefert es in einen Shop. Sehr ärgerlich für mich. Ich jedenfall werde nichts mehr über ups mir liefern lassen.
