Vitamix Vita-Mix 015990 Adv Blade Assembly

Like many, my introduction to whole fruit/vegetable juicing was with a NutriBullet. VitaMix was my next choice as I sought durability and larger capacity for my hot new healthy significant other. But the VitaMix 780 just didn't blend nearly as well as my Bullet. I'd have to push and shake and push etc. 3-4 times. I was missing my Bullet and feeling buyer's remorse. I figured the VitaMix needed more blade pitch or more blade area to equal the Bullet. So I gambled this blade would do the trick. And boy, does it. I might still need to push or stir once, but that's it. With this Advance blade, my 780 works the way a blender is supposed to work. It's a head-scratcher why VitaMix doesn't make this blade standard equipment.

Not much to say other than the part was correct for my blender. Arrived quickly and I was able to get my blender back up and working in my busy store.

We have purchased these in the past and this batch was really bad. We purchased 3 and all of them broke within 2 weeks of use. will try to purchase again from a different vendor

The shaft holding the star drive is not as long as they were in the past; so if the blender is tilted at all it causes the bit to slip out of the chuck and grind the chuck and the star down. Please make the shaft longer so that it holds the bit better; absolutely terrible manufacture, thread on bottom doesn’t fit

I ordered this product for a family member who has a Vitamix blender. They really like the blender and have had it for several years. They use the blender often and due to that needed to replace the blender blades. The family member gave me the replacement part number and I used the part number when I searched for this blade assembly on Amazon. When they went to install this blade assembly it did not fit the container. The threads on this blade assembly were too long. They called Vitamix about the issue and Vitamix said they had an older container and would need to buy a new container (convenient for Vitamix). This blade assembly should fit on newer Vitamix blender containers but, not older ones. I did not see this stated anywhere when I ordered the product. If you're considering ordering this, I would contact Vitamix directly to see if your container is compatible with this blade assembly. Amazon was very helpful with the return.
