Crime Scene Photomacrographic Scale (No.2-Metric)

Great scale for photographing mineral and fossils

I use this a lot for scaling when I'm photographing, great tool.

I purchased two of these - one in SAE one in metric - and the metric one has definitely been the better choice. I used these for personal use and both are high quality and very useful for taking photos of things where I need to communicate the dimensions -- for example, sending a photo to the vet of sore on our dog's leg. For things smaller than 1" (and for things medical, where metric is preferred), the metric scale is easier to see the x- and y-dimensions. Mine have held up well for quite some time, though I could imagine that the lettering might scrape off given enough abuse. I really like these.

I have retrieved it on time. But it was a little different from what was on picture. On picture black and white scale was divided in half centimeters and what I've got has only centimeter divisions, which is not a big deal. On some copies millimeter lines are badly printed. Surface is matte so it does not get reflections from sun or flashlight. Overall it's a good quality product, so I give 4 stars.

Great to add to photos of surgical wounds to document healing over time. Easily wiped down to keep clean. Writing stayed on so far. Dr. was impressed to have photos with scale to see progress.

These might be for crime scene investigation, but I use them to help me catalog and identify different plant species. They're perfect little rulers to carry in a field notebook, and they allow you to easy get a sense of scale in your photos.
