I had been looking for something like this for a long time. My mom had one she got as some promotional thing, but this one is nicer (it has the bleeder valve). It fits in a small bag and is easy to use. It will still work if it gets dropped and as long as I don't let anyone pull it apart, I expect it to last a long time. Update: After using the pump for a very long time, I have only found one issue with it. Because of the design, it does not do a very good job with higher pressure balls like basketballs. I bought it mainly for use with volleyballs and have used it with a few of the cheap colorful ones you can get for kids and it has worked just like I wanted it to so I'm not complaining, but wanted if you want a basketball pump, if may not work for you.

This i very handy and works well. I use it with the small, soft med balls that are filled with sand and feel like rocks when the air goes out of them. This pump lets me soften them up easily.

I had a similar pump in my ball bag for the longest time, but it somehow liberated itself. I bought this one to replace it, and for the most part, it does the job. It is light and is good for maintaining the pressure in various sports balls. Naturally one would not want to inflate a ball from the completely deflated state, because the pumping capacity is quite small. Two weaknesses I see are: 1) the hose extension is way too short and kinks under limited angles, like no more than 45 deg. 2) the pressure relief screw valve is cheap (and unnecessary) and will probably break off tumbling around in my ball bag.

I have had several various products like this over the years. I have also had rigid pumps as well. This always seems to draw me back as it's so light and flexible that it makes it the most well suited to throw in a bag and forget about it. That being said, after several years, these tend to leak at the various connection points....but just get creative and read online and you will see how to prevent or repair these leaks....Or just buy a new one. The convenience is worth it. FYI I use this for volleyballs so not a reall high pressure use case. Basketballs and soccer balls will naturally take much longer to inflate and may result in quicker leaks and issues.

I bought 2 of these because I wanted my daughter to keep one at home and one in bag for volleyball. We've found these useful in the past. I just opened them and now it's too late to return... one of them works great, but the other one doesn't reload air, so I will have to throw it away. Test them early!!

Nice little hand pump. Works well for me. I can carry in my pocket if needed during a game.

I read the reviews that state dthis is cheap but I wanted the one handed pump so I went with it anyhow. I am so glad I did,. I feel the opposite, I think it is great quality! It feels nice and sturdy and it works great.

Simple and best portable pump I've had. I tried the plastic stuff and they simply don't last. This one is staying in my bag and I'm not worried that it's gonna work.
