Sylvia Plath Poems Chosen by Carol Ann D

Perfect

Since I have similar problems in common with Plath, I read "The Bell Jar" and found her writing to be brilliant and evocative though the Roman à clef tended to be rather melancholy. So I thought I would explore her poetry. Unfortunately, I found it even more melancholy and did not speak to me nor reflect my experiences at all or my life view at all. We both have been in the Bell Jar (a state of mind, not a place) but I have succeeded in living with it and dwell on it very little.

I don't love Sylvia Plath--this was for a college course.
