This is the second game we have bought from this company. The quality and attention to detail is outstanding. These are lovely games to keep or perfect presents to give - I only hope that they create more board games to choose from.

A would like the test of the game parts

This is beautifully made with beautifully finished wood and a quite clever compact design.You don’t need an outer box to keep it in because the game has been designed to be completely self-contained. There are two spherical wooden knobs at opposite sides of the frame that unscrew to release the inner grid which you can then stand vertically to create the game and secure in position with those same two knobs.The counters are held secure within the grid while not in use but are released from it as the game is assembled.The one critique I have is that the aperture holes are so tiny that it’s hard to see the counters in play. You couldn’t possibly play this game on a table between you both, you need to hold it up to eye level to actually see the gameplay. Apart from that it’s a beautifully crafted set

Our family loves to play simple 'board games' connect 4 is one of these that tick the boxes. The youngest of the family is 10 years old.I don't think this game would be suitable for younger children especially if they struggle with fine motor skills, the ball on the little side and have a habit of jumping around.A couple of points that are down to the design of the game the pegs are a little stiff to push in and out (might improve with more uses and overtime)The second point when you are playing again and are setting up your pieces occasionally you can see the layer below though the next layer up (because the angle you are viewing it from) thinking you have played any extra piece and winning the game.The size of the game is okay for older children but might be an issue for younger kidsThe balls are painted Blue and Red which are great as my son is colour blind.Overall we love this game and the way it has been designed because the item has been handmade I don't think the price is too bad but We would normally pay a little less for simple games.

This is a well made little game. It’s a wooden version of connect 4. Probably best for older children And adults due to small pieces. Ideal for travel as it’s quite small.

Penthouse Apartments is a Connect 4 game made from monkey pod wood by SiamMandalay, who have a good range of popular games made from monkey pod wood. We bought their Pick up Sticks game a few years ago to play with our grandchildren (all of primary school age) and it is still a popular game for them to request when they come to visit. The Penthouse Apartment game is too small for them to play with and to be honest, the pieces are too small for my husband and I to play with. We have spent more time looking for the little wooden balls that have bounced out of the box and on to the floor than we have spent playing the game!On the positive side, monkey pod wood is a sustainable hard wood that is farmed and grows quickly, so no harm to the environment is caused in making this game. It is much more attractive to look at than the bigger plastic versions of Connect 4.Unfortunately, the negatives are considerable. The pieces are too small for children to manipulate and the ease at which dropped pieces bounce out of the box and fall to the floor means pieces will quickly get lost.It is too plain to be a coffee table curio, so I'm afraid i can only award 3 stars as an overall rating. SiamMandalay do make a 50% bigger version, called Connect 4 that would be more suitable for a children's game.

The product is very small and the balls got lost easily

This travel sized wooden version of connect four looks smart and more for an adult than a child as the counters are quite small and fiddly. It packs away neatly and all the counters slot inside. Handy to have tucked in the cupboard For when you have some time on your hands.

Schöner Artikel aber man muss das Spiel auf z.B. Bücher stellen damit man die Kugel gut sehen kann. Man müsste sich sonst stark nach vorne lehnen, um die Kugeln zu erkennen. Die Qualität gefällt mir gut. Auch als Geschenk super gut geeignet.

Compacte et joli. Ce jeu remplit totalement mes attentes. J’adore.
