Lizard Skins Unisex's DSP Bar V2 Handlebar Grip Tape, Jet Black, One Size, DSPCY

I really like this tape. I haven’t bought any for a while and thought the price had increased significantly. I bought anyway as one of my bikes needed tape replacement. Found that the reason for price increase might be that kit now includes proper expanding bar-end plugs rather than nasty push-in type.

Really good tape easy to fit on the handle bars and feels good!

I have used this tape for years and it strikes the perfect balance between comfort and grip. your hands never seem to slip off this tape and I have used it for a season of cyclocross in the mud and rain. will buy again and again!

Excellent bar tape. I have used it on my other bikes. Very comfortable and keeps road buzz to a minimum.

Exellent and durable. Somewhat tacky tape. Normally one of the most expensive tapes but found a good price on amazon. Fast delivery as usual

Lizard Skins bar tape always seems to be mentioned as if it is the best bar tape out there, a real premium option. Personally I'm relatively impressed. The tape is OK in terms of grip and comfort, but not as good as options such as "Prime Comfort" bar tape. I found the Lizard Skins also not the best to wrap - the tape has very little flex or stretch to it (a little like old-fashioned cork tape) meaning that getting it to conform to bends without gaping is difficult. I only bought this because the Prime tape was out of stock, and I wouldn't buy this again.

Some reviews say it's easy to install, it was not my case. This could be due to the reason that glue was dry (and was hard to get it stuck in place) after taking the peel off. Also, the glue area is very thin (3 mm max?) for such a wide and thick bar tape. Both sides of my steering wheel got peeled off after cycling for 1 hour on a summer day, on the same day I installed it. It went back to Amazon unfortunately..

Always a great grip, sweat proof and easy to put on. A bit pricy, but worth it!

Easy to install. Looks great. Feels great and has a bit of a 'sticky' feeling so grips well in the dry and wet.
