LOVE IT!
I want all of Kevin Missal's books. I wish they were more accessible to Canadians. Love the alternative/ and probably most accurate representation of the Meghnad. The nuance of being named a villain is so real... This was refreshing. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Meghanath was almost perfect. When he was born ravanan made sure that every planet stood on the correct place except one which was saturn. Because saturn refused to do so. He was the perfect son, the perfect husband and the perfect warrior. This downfall was his love for his dad. This book protrate him first as evil but later shows a men who changed and found true him. Amazingly plotted storyline
It is always a treat to the eyes as well as mind to read a Kevin Missal bookMeghnad was no less than what I had expected after reading Narasimha and the Kalki seriesIt’s a retelling of the great Hindu epic of Ramayana, which most of us are aware of, but the way Kevin has knitted the story around Meghnad and his love for Prameela, the Naga princess, left me spellbound! So basically, Meghnad was the tyrannical son of the great Lanka king, Raavana.Meghnad was known to be the most ruthless king who also conquered the land of the devas, Amaravati. But then came the turning point of his life, the entry of Prameela in his life who turned it upside down. The story is full of thrillers, romance and a mix and match of sci-fi and contemporary fiction which I absolutely adored while reading the book. It’s a not-quite-long read of 290 pages.I am in love with the cover, yet again, just the perfect amount of pretty and beautiful yet elegant and classy !Aptly describing the genre yet not giving out too much.

Mythological treat
I have always been a biggest fan of Indian mythology and its where my reading journey got its greatest inspiration from✌️. This book is a fictional story built around the epic tale of Ramayana. Its a standalone story and I absolutely loved it. The narrative has Meghnad, the son of Raavan as the protagonist. Its not exactly the portrayal of Ramayana as such but a very unique and creative fiction having its root from it. The plot on a high level is similar to Ramayana where Sita is abducted by Raavan and the war happens. But there is a secret lying beneath...What is it? Is the entire war meaningless? What if there is single person behind the entire drama happening? I was so impressed with the character development of Meghnad. I literally hated him at the beginning and trust me he is my favourite person of the entire plot at the end. This fondness happened gradually through the story and not only at the end and that's the best thing. I got a very new perspective of Ramayana though this is mostly fictitious. Besides mythology there was science, love, suspense and action mixed up well. The title and cover are not so unique but suits the book. I felt it a bit monotonous in the first half but the second part made all the justice and was engrossing. The style of writing is amazing with a beautiful pace. On the whole it's a great treat for all mythological lovers.

A perfect retelling of Ramayana and an unsung warrior.
“How you affect someone so fast is a gift only few possess over fewer people.”- Kevin Missal, Raavanputr Meghnad- Prince of LankaThis isn’t the story of Ram, Sita or Raavan; This is the story of the greatest warrior of all time, the winner of Amravati – Meghnad. One thing I love about Kevin Missal’s writing is his caliber to take you on a magical ride and make you question the things you know. Whether the Ramayana war was coincidental or was it planned by a mastermind and everyone was just a pawn in the bigger game. The author has used every important element of Ramayana and presented a new story from the light of those characters we didn’t pay much attention to.The main focus of the book is on Meghnad and how he had no one but his father to look up to and he was taught only one thing – to be ruthless. His passion for science made him even more dangerous than any other person and he liked this power he had over others until he met her.Prameela, a beautiful naga princess was prepared for a mission but something goes astray. She fell in love with the monster and the monster finds love in his life too. Will she be able to change him for good? Or their love will suffer? I loved the way Kevin Missal put a little romance in the story to make it refreshing. All the other characters are well written and have their parts to play in the story. No story is left incomplete and every character finds his/her purpose in the book. The language used is easy and only with 3-4 pages into the book, the readers become hooked which makes it truly unputdownable. Every chapter is written so nicely as a narration from various characters which enhances the beauty of the story as a whole. All in all, you are in for a surprise with this book. I loved reading it.RATINGS:Story: 5/5Characters: 5/5Cover: Beautifully portrays the power of Meghnad. 5/5Overall: 5/5
